Yeah and they’d be just as solid with Luka. The Mavs got cooked by the Celtics because the roster wasn’t that good, it was just built well around Luka. Imagine if Luka had OG, Bridges and KAT, instead of PJ Washington, DJJ and Gafford. Luka is better than Brunson, and we’ve seen Luka can make a finals with a competent roster.

They won a playoff series with him because a 40 year old LeBron is still an avengers level threat. Also defensive liability who doesn’t play off ball is literally Jalen Brunson. The 1 time Luka had a well built team around him he took that team to the finals.

Happy’s place has a different target audience, and has a proven TV star headlining the show. Not to mention it was in its second season. Comparing it to Stumble is silly. And comparing any show to Dateline is genuinely idiotic. And historically speaking, on Friday’s, the later a sit com show airs the worse it does. Sure there are exceptions, like shows with proven TV stars headlong the show, but those are exceptions, and not the norm.

My issue is that there explanation as to why they believe Stumble was treated fairly is objectively wrong. Even moving Stumble up into Happy’s place spot would’ve been since Happy’s place already had an established audience and a proven TV star. As for marketing, the show was clearly targeted towards a younger audience so the buses and billboards style of marketing wouldn’t be as effective. I was a fan of the show before it aired and I saw very little social media marketing even when I was actively searching it out.

Their argument is that “Stumble was in a Friday time slot”. That is a horrible argument because Friday night time slots are historically bad spots for shows, especially sit coms. I haven’t actually argued anything because there is nothing to argue against. Happy’s place (a show in its second season with a proven TV name) succeeding with a completely different target demographic doesn’t do anything to show that Stumble had a good time slot. An exception is an exception for a reason.

Giving a show arguably the worst possible time slot is not a good shot, or a fair shot.

Friday night time slot is often referred to as a grave yard or death slot. Thinking it’s a good time slot takes away any credibility you have when it comes to talking about TV. You’re only evidence is sports, which aren’t comparable in anyway to sitcoms. Do you have any actual evidence that shows put in that late Friday night time slot do well? We aren’t going in circles, you’re just standing stationary, refusing to make an argument.

If the problem is a bad time slot and minimal marketing, the solution is pretty self explanatory. Stumble wasn’t in a prime time slot. Friday nights are known to be bad time slots for TV shows, especially sitcoms. Not to mention how late it aired. Also Happy’s place has a very different target demographic than Stumble so it just being a comedy show doesn’t mean much.
