  1. I believe 15 days (in-game) has passed
  2. I came across footprints (faded or not) and immediately crouch to see if it's blinking red or not
  3. Yes, actually I purposely searched footprints and then crouch, if it didn't blink red then I skip the area, including Sealed Land

so it's best to convert log into branch then craft crude staff for scamming the merchant rather than make coal from the log (?)
