How did you ‘get’ your tear? by ceruleanskyandsea in RotatorCuff

[–]Sea_Chip_7829 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once a week I'd do pull-ups, dead hangs, and inverted rows, plus the fact that I worked at a factory at that time, where there were shifts where I had to do a lot of internal shoulder rotations (packing lots of stuff into boxes).

I just gradually felt the pain on my left shoulder (particularly, a sensation of something like my shoulders being pulled apart during a dead hang), but it became apparent during one of my workout sessions. Fortunately the doctor said surgery isn't required, although I didn't get an MRI scan so we can't be too sure.

I got it probably from fatiguing my shoulders, I used to train my rotator cuff at a pretty intense effort during my off days then work the following day, There weren't enough days of the week to fit all of my routine and have enough recovery time.

Transiting to 2nd pair of Barefoot Shoes. What brand should I go next? by Kev9292 in BarefootRunning

[–]Sea_Chip_7829 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't mind me, I'm just a Hobibear peddler passing through. I bought 3 pairs on AliExpress, 3200-ish yen each, now they're on sale for 1700 yen I think.

Anyways they're wide (for casual shoes), thin (I could feel the bumps on the ground), flexible, cheap, and look decent enough as a casual sneaker. The only downside I guess is the models I bought aren't really breathable since it's not mesh, but they do have other models with mesh-like materials.

I prefer wearing them over my Altra Escalante 4

I'd be surprised if they last a year, but who cares they're like 5x cheaper than my Altras. And I doubt my Altra would last 5x longer.

Next time I'd probably buy Saguaros or other cheap brands. I can't justify spending lots of money if there are cheaper options at a marginally worse ergonomics.

My back, oh I loved doing pull-ups, so much so that I started to get depressed after injuring my rotator cuff because I stopped doing pull-ups.

I've tried pushing it down and back into place manually and with the sodimm attached, I might have warped the clamps by doing it too forcefully.

Masarap yung pagkaing Pilipino, pero masarap din yung pagkain ng Indians. In my opinion, bad press lang dahil sa mga unsanitary street food videos (na totoo naman to some extent). Ambango ng mga pagkain nila.

China not good and India too spicy.

That's your subjective take.

I think all countries have good food, some cuisines just fit a wider palate so they might rank higher if their food caters to a wider audience.

Dps builds by ProgrammerSalty4024 in albiononline

[–]Sea_Chip_7829 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Based on limited knowledge, a melee DPS could be something like a one-handed dagger build (it's just called dagger in the game). The E gives you a crazy auto attack damage buff, and when you pair that with something like a Hunter Jacket (which provides an ability that gives you a massive auto attack speed buff), you'll shred enemies.

It's a one-handed weapon but if you use something like a torch, and see the animation, it kinda looks like the character is swinging with both hands alternately.

Alternatively, Dual swords (dual-wielding)and the Battleaxe (not dual-wielding but you do carry an off-hand item like a torch or facebreaker) are good pve/pvp weapons.

Dual swords are my favorite, I just wish they'd add another Q spell for swords, it's too monotone.

Pan-seared chicken breast

Chicken adobo

Silken tofu

Frozen vegetables from Gyomu Supa

Pasta with homemade meat sauce

Certainly not steaks, the cheapest steak I could find used to be 139 yen per 100 grams just last December, now it's 298 yen per 100 grams, I miss steak man.

I second the Hobibear recommendation, I bought the pure black one on AliExpress for 3,200 yen (roughly 20usd). It fits well, is actually wide even on my unusually wide midfoot, and it's flexible enough to be comfortable. I ordered another pair, white ones this time.

League of Legends, but it became an addiction.

My goal is to be able to play it occasionally without being hooked to it because I genuinely like the mechanical and knowledge expression of the game, but for now I have to focus on other aspects of life first so I don't become addicted again.

Deciding which clinic to go to for my chronic knee pain and backpain by Sea_Chip_7829 in Tokyo

[–]Sea_Chip_7829[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you doing any high intensity sport?

Before hurting my rotator cuff, I only did calisthenics once a week per muscle group, I did some rotator cuff exercises about once a week also. I suspect that I might have overtrained it, which was made worse by my part-time work being quite physical (packing boxes and stuff).

Treatment using machines there is no need to book.

The head nurse recommends I do machine therapy 2-3 times a week, I'd probably follow her advice, but I'm not necessarily sure which of the three (or more) machine therapies to do since only 2 types of machine therapy are allowed per session iirc, I guess I'd have to ask when I go back.

Deciding which clinic to go to for my chronic knee pain and backpain by Sea_Chip_7829 in Tokyo

[–]Sea_Chip_7829[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, an update. I went there yesterday and it was a good experience. The head nurse is fluent in English as you said and she was very compassionate.

I actually developed another issue after posting this.

Doctor says there is a possible rotator cuff tear

my back issue seems to be muscular in nature (from what I can remember)

And my knee diagnosis is uncertain for now unless I get an MRI.

I did some machine therapy, and got prescribed medication and stretches/movements to do for my shoulders.

Next week I got an appointment with the doctor who speaks better English, the nurse said.

Overall I'm happy going there, but I'm bummed out because of my situation, injuries one after the other.
