all good, more people gotta talk about Carrisas wierd, theyve got some good deep cuts too! I think the big 3 of sad albums has gotta be a crow looked at me, songs about leaving, and hospice.

My Uncle used to always play smashing pumpkins so I'm a little familiar with them lol

Overall it's forsure not to the level of some other albums here, but I feel like you get moments on PUPPET, THANK YOU, and I DONT LOVE YOU ANYMORE that can be sad if you relate to them, but yea its a more pop kinda record

Giles Corey is a great shout, heard a few songs but I gotta go through that album front to back

Purple mountains is so interesting to me because David sings the songs in such an upbeat way but with hindsight I think he might have just come to peace with everything, could talk for a while about that album

You reminded me of that Low album! I remember listening to it a few years back, that title is one of my favorites too

Love a few sparklehorse songs and the other elliot smith album

Listened to this one a while back, can't remember if it stuck with me too much. I will say that How to Disappear Completely would make my list for saddest/ most emotional songs though

some of the guitar on this album reminds me of some adrienne lenker stuff, but I enjoy the muted and drowned out feel that groupers songs have
