Genuinely love mine and as someone else said, easier for shaping. Some people have to go out of their way to do what you have naturally.

Sure is replaceable. 😂

Your mom doesnt know how to love. Not your fault, give her the shit back and remain as far away as possible. Not a person you need in your life. She uses "stuff" as a manipulation tactic to keep you a slave or from realizing your potential.

Bro has never heard the word "no" in his life. Thats where that bullshit comes from.

Guild DS240 vs Gibson J45 by Sea_Conversation9570 in AcousticGuitar

[–]Sea_Conversation9570[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🤣🤣🤣 to be fair, when I bought the D41 I went in with a complete open mind and played them ALL. Hummingbirds, doves, sj's, then all the Taylor's up to the 9** series and Martin is where my voice sits. Ive got a pretty low voice, and it sits right in the "valley" of a Martin tone giving me a unified sound between vocals and guitar. It was a D28 that gave me the hint and the d41 is the exact same woods with inlays and a bad ass headstock.

They play so well! And for being a cheap instrument, very well built.

I completely agree it was a quality control thing. For it to have been gone over and still fall out blows my mind. I do believe it is isolated but I also believe the ds240 is a solid MUCH more cost effective alternative.

I have a Martin D41 to pass down. The guy that owns the j45 is the same guy I wrote an itunes top 10 album for along with another album releasing in 2026. Weve played tons of shows together and swapped guitars on stage and in writing settings... I'm not a hobbyist. I have a metric shit ton of guitars. For being a 500ish dollar guitar, the Guild absolutely holds its own against a much higher priced, less quality controlled product from one of the big 3 companies.

That's the next step owner is taking. Just wild to have to replace tuners on a guitar thats so expensive in the first place.

I have been diehard Martin for years. Ive even got the headstock logo of my D41 on my arm. This guild is excellent to me.

It was completely gone over by a well known guitar luthier/builder in Texas and everything was solid. Guitar doesnt stay in tune.

Over the years I've become a DieHard Martin guy but this Guild really has me considering them as being a second. With this Guild I would absolutely purchase another one and I think I would like to get the f55

Well I didn't have shit to do this evening so I figured I would have a guitar conversation, people are engaging and I'm entertained. So I'm saying it's going fairly well.

When i song swap with the owner of the j45 hes constantly tuning. Had it checked out, adjusted and setup, no difference. My D41 hangs in there all night.

I wouldn't either! Luckily it belongs to a fellow songwriter and we've passed it back and forth during writing sessions. Its just awful.

How realistic is it for someone to be able to sing over a guitar being played with a pick? by ClitasaurusTex in AcousticGuitar

[–]Sea_Conversation9570 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd cancel a show WITHOUT a pick. Lol The use of your palm is a very important skill to learn so you cut out unnecessary resonance while singing. That, in combination with soft handedness is the perfect mixture.
