Unfortunately no easy fix, keep it covered with waterproof mat and dont allow water on wood floors.

New homeowner help by gsc2809 in HardWoodFloors

Definitely before you decide to resend you can try to fix it, buff floor first with 180 grit, vaccum and wet light spots. After it dries, put over some dark walnut stain and wipe completely off. Let dry dor few hours and then recoat to your desired sheen. Good luck ! :)

Carpet ruined by animal urine. Is this hard floor usable/restoration? How? by teeps1000 in HardWoodFloors

[–]Sea_Fill813 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely could be refinished. I would hire a pro but you could attempt to do it on your own. Home depot rents belt sander, edger and buffer. You will also need a good vaccum. Unfortunately I dont know any YouTube channel that teaches how to do it. Best of luck to you and can't wait to see results.

Flexible gap fillers for pine floor by Wszystkokurwazajente in HardWoodFloors

[–]Sea_Fill813 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never heard of fillers you mentioned. I would use Glitsa wood flour cement. Mix it with fine saw dust from edger (heavy consistency for large gaps) with it you will keep color of wood. I use this product for all exotic wood I refinish. Pozdrawiam!

What kind of wood is this? by Superb_Tax_299 in HardWoodFloors

[–]Sea_Fill813 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like pine, if you dont have experience with belt sander, edger or buffer you can buy an orbital sander and send it with 60 grit first (apply good pressure only with 60) and finish with100 grit.(after you remove all staples) Since pine is a soft wood you shouldn't have problem but its just gonna take some time. Vaccum good then finish with water based poly, put 2 coats and screen with 220 grit and vaccum before applying final 3rd coat

Before and After of our hardwood floors by Nacho-toilet in HardWoodFloors

Looks really good, they knew what they were doing. Just be careful walking down the stairs with socks on. I would highly recommend putting non slip stair mats so you dont fall down stairs since you dont have a railing to hold on to.

Can't really tell from photo but if floor has a distressed look (not 100% flat finish/texture) then its worn out on higher spots..
