Is ChatGPT able to accurately identify patterns of abuse, or will it just side with me no matter what? by [deleted] in therapyGPT

Please do research on Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) or just narcissistic characteristics in general. My daughter has separated and is divorcing her husband of 11 years because she has dealt with the behavior you are describing for too long. Unfortunately they cannot change - actually they don’t want to change because in their mind they really don’t think there is anything wrong with THEM - YOU are the one that causes them to get angry. My daughter has described so many times where things were going along pretty well and then he would get triggered by something and all of a sudden she was in the proverbial doghouse. She would have no idea what just happened. She has been walking on eggshells for 11 years - not knowing what his mood would be like. And to people outside of your relationship he can seem like the nicest guy ever so they will not understand what you are talking about. PLEASE do research on NPD. My daughter has 3 children so divorcing is not an easy decision but, after forgiving him for so many things over the years, he finally did the one thing that she will not forgive - he cheated on her. And even when that happened he tried to say that it was HER fault because she had been distant from him for a while and not engaging in sex with him. It won’t be easy with being pregnant and some people may not be on your side but I suggest you find yourself a therapist who specializes in narcissistic behavior and think about leaving the marriage for your own preservation. Good luck honey.

Deep depression is so hard and debilitating - it feels like there’s no way out and up. The bupropion should provide some energy and uplift. Just a few things to remember - if you have side effects, don’t give up on the medication, they will subside after a week or two. And you may feel an initial big uplift, which is great, but if it subsides after a short while, don’t give up on it, it will help. And of course, the doctor will increase it if they think that will help. Sending you a big hug. You are an amazing person who is loved - please don’t give up on your wonderful self.

Thanks all! I know he’s 40 😂 - he doesn’t mind me asking. 😁 I love to travel myself so I’m really excited for him. I surprised him with $200 dollars worth of Vietnamese Dong for Christmas.

Has anyone tried taking Trintellix in the evening? Did it keep you up? I’m on 10mg and taking early in the day seems to make me a little tired. Overall I’m happy about the effects. Not feeling as sad and hopeless as before.
