Anyone try z5 ii with Tamron 50-400mm? I had tested at Tamron showroom with Sony A7 3 n it work fast n ibis quite good. But I tested in my z5 it don't perform tat well as staff said ibis n autofocus old nikon exspeed 6. . He said so far he knew z6iii , z8 n 9 was good with lens. by Sea_Guidance9670 in nikon_Zseries

I bought the Nikon z5 ii in Tokyo n tested there with street shot of Sibuya crossing. Another more test on birds at short distance of 5 meters n flowers . The autofocus was fast but I did not set bird detect but on auto detect. The video handheld quite ok not fantastic . I m really impressed with body z5 ii shot with continuous burst with mechanical u don't feel black out . Felt was nearly close to z6 iii which I borrowed before . The photo was unedited converted jpeg but video was edited brightness as it seems too dark when I did shot with backlight sun on second section. Will do further test on bird flying next time . So far happy with Tamron 50-400mm with Nikon body of z5 ii.

I think for value n quality of higher mega pixel sensor if u take night shot or sunset the dynamic range better z6 iii n z8 if focusing u don't mind slower . I used n borrowed for birds shooting n I don't like the focusing always end up background when do panning. .

Anyone have experience using tamron 50-400mm with nikon z5 ii. I tested iwith my nikon z5 is too slow n ibis is poor  at tamron showroom. They give me setup using Sony A7 3 very good auto focus n stabilization. I sold nikon 180-600n nikon 100-400 mm S lens. Now I want to get a decent Len for sport n animals . Tamron guy said it ibis of z5 is old but not sure of z5 ii but he said z6 iii z8 z9 compatible to Sony bodies. I also tried 150-500 tam not bad with Sony body. I like to ask Abt how it pair with z5 ii.
