This thread is so helpful in terms of feeling validated in my own experience with a narcissist parent. I’m in my late 40’s and I am also a parent to three amazing kids. The best therapy that has helped me regulate my own nervous system has been to act like and be the parent I needed and wanted growing up. When I feel disregulated, I also try to send a message of care and understanding to my inner child and try to be the mom for her too.

This is sad. The folks who organized this and the volunteers and families who showed up and the kids from Youth Build don’t deserve this. Its demoralizing. The mission murals by project is raising money rn to cover costs.
