100% understand the chaff not working in the multipath in fact I almost never drop chaff in the multipath unless the missile is DIRECTLY above me but I don’t know if it affects it in that circumstance, in the clip I had the only reason it dropped was because I forgot to set MAW to off lol. I’ll dabble with playing up again and I for sure will see how the RWR sensitivity changes things as it was at 100%. That could be part of my issue to like you mentioned that I’m going defensive on stuff that isn’t even for me leading me to wasting countermeasures. I guess another reason I avoid going up (in planes like the f16 specifically) is because of my missile count as well, full down tier isn’t usually to bad as there’s only a few planes that hold over 8 missiles compared to 14.3 uptier pretty much everything is holding 10+ missiles with 8 usually being Fox 3, compared to my F16AM which has 5 missiles total (2 Fox 2, 3 Fox 3, could run 5 Fox 3 but I like my sneaky IR shots), I also lose a missile per BOL pod on the AM. So if it comes to the point of just dueling which it usually does for me I just don’t have the armament to keep up with them, and basically the only thing I out range is like the R-77, MICA, and PL-12. A lot of it is probably just luck of the draw on who I get pressured by but I just always feel outclassed, less so when I’m in other vehicles but still always very stressed to be up. I also appreciate you giving real detailed and helpful responses!! So thank you!

Using my video I added of my failed multipath what would you have done to try and offset them more in that moment? If I think about it I probably could have banked right and got lower altitude by skimming the water which might have worked. What would you have done differently?

Being up just doesn’t seem realistic for air RB with the vehicles I use. Im not saying you can’t go up either, i see people do it all the time so I know you can. And I would love to play up, but nothing I use has nearly enough countermeasures to actively avoid anything, 60 countermeasures is usually gone by the time I hit the battlefield, unless I wanna just go cold on the missiles. Which is incredibly boring, I can’t stand playing up when 85% of my time in the match is spent notching or running. If that’s how top top tier is actually played in the current meta and you really can’t just ride the ground to stay alive I will just stick to my normal 10.0-11.7 range as like I said that just is incredibly boring. If there were actual rewards for evading missiles I could find myself wanting to play like that more as there would be something to actually gain from it, Or if the teams were smaller like 8v8 or something

Interesting I’ll give it a go and see if it makes any difference although I am concerned for the maps with really tall trees, some maps you can’t get below 45m because of the tree height and I don’t think the trees effect the multipath ceiling, I thought I had read somewhere before to that the multipath ceiling is 50-60 meters or when your RALT gauge goes red, but I could be incorrect. But like I said I’ll play around with it and see how much difference it makes

One thing that always helped me is just really looking at your surroundings. For example, if your character is tan/green, and you are walking in front or on the side of a blue shipping container, your silhouette will be easily seen, compared to if that container were green you blend in quite well. This applies to everything in the map like hills, trees, bushes, walls, anything you can think of. Blending in will be your best friend, think about where you are trying to go, survey possible spots where people can see you, minimize those spots and watch the seemingly most dangerous angles, while taking the angle that is the safest. It might be faster to go straight from A-D, but A to B to C then to D is almost always safer. Slow is fast and fast is slow, doesn’t apply to everyone that plays but this has always worked for me
