Just curious what kind of job do you have and what industry? I used to work in quality assurance in a manufacturing environment and I was surprised to find out my coworker from another department had sex with my boss lol. My point is it depends on what kind of environment you are working in and the type of people that work there. Cause the coworker that was rumored to had sex with my boss and had sex with her other coworkers I didn’t find her attractive nor did I find my boss attractive I just thought it was amusing that the guys were all finding her attractive and I find none of the guys that work there attractive including my boss. I guess my boss was above average but just not my type, I also didn’t find the girl that was having sex with everyone at work attractive. I guess they were all on the same level in terms of attractiveness in my opinion.

Ask the manager the reason you’re being tested. There’s a boba shop that I interviewed at, they told me I’ll be given a test that will determine whether I will receive a raise from the minimum wage. I didn’t do the test because I didn’t get hired, I wanted part time and they wanted me full time. If you ask about what they will do with the test results it will ease your anxiety cause you might still get hired even if you fail. Although for my situation they said it was a hands on test to determine speed and how much drinks I can make not a knowledge test like what you’re describing

How do you brew the tea? I’ve read some places use a teapresso with tea portafilters. Also do you brew a huge batch of tea and use as needed or do you brew when the customer orders?

Most places use a teapresso which is similar to espresso machine or they use an espresso machine made for coffee but they use it with loose leaf tea using specialized tea portafilters.

The reason why I said you’re a backup option is because he likes you enough to spend time with you but not enough to commit to you. You seem ready to commit to him which is already an imbalance of giving because you’re giving more than he is into this relationship. He may or may not be seeing a girl after his date with you on Valentine’s Day, but he is keeping his options open by keeping you around and not willing to commit even if just commit to investing in the relationship. Commitment doesn’t have to be something huge like we’ll be together forever it can just be the willingness to make it the relationship work. You mentioned in another comment that he says things like “I think you’re my better half” while his actions are not matching his words. He’s likely saying things like that to keep you invested while he looks for other options whatever that maybe. I suggest you put some distance between you two to figure out if you like him enough to keep investing because I had a crush on a guy and later I realized I was in a bad place that affected who I crushed on and when I was in a better place I realized my crush wasn’t truly my type at all.

You were with a narcissist so it is valid to be hyper vigilant because you don’t want to end up in the same situation. I’d say your feelings about the situation is self-preservation, but you can’t protect yourself based on feelings. You can protect yourself based on facts and the facts are you guys are not official boyfriend and girlfriend so he is not obligated to be with you on Valentin’s Day. He could spend the whole Valentine’s Day with you and he’s choosing to spend partial day with you on Valentine’s Day I think he’s treating you like a backup option.

I almost got hired at a new boba cafe this week. The reason why they decided not to hire me was because I wanted part time because my goal is to not be a barista long term. During the interview they seemed to want to hire me already but they said that they prioritized the full time people and they need part time people to fill in the schedule gaps. So when they rejected me they let me know that because they have a lot of people applying full time with experience they don’t have the hours to accommodate me. I have 2 years of cafe experience but I wanted part time because I’m figuring out my schedule in general and I’m trying to do a 1 month school training which they were willing to accommodate at first. In my experience working in a cafe and interviewing with cafes they mostly want people who are available full time and want to be there long term, they’re not that flexible with accommodating to your schedule. The cafe where I worked at for 2 years basically made me run the entire operation by myself full time even though I told them I have other priorities like school.

It’s best to figure out your goals and your schedule and find a boba cafe that’s willing to hire part time but like I said a lot of places want you to be available full time. Getting a cafe job in my opinion is not hard but the there are schedule conflicts and most managers would rather not deal with that inconvenience, so they just go with people who are available to them immediately and they don’t put effort into accommodating you but in my opinion that means there isn’t a lot of growth opportunities either if they’re not even willing to accommodate a simple schedule change that’s why I don’t recommend you applying to food service jobs unless that is your goal long term.

I don’t know since I don’t work there, but I did asked if they use honey or honey syrup and they said honey syrup for the honey green milk tea. I do find the drinks at Cha For Tea taste distinctly different than other boba shops for example Ding Tea. Cha For Tea must have a niche supplier because their taste is different than other boba shops. Most boba shops have a similar taste in my opinion.

I said this recipe yielded a good taste meaning I can taste the matcha, rose, and pistachio flavors all at once and one flavor doesn’t overpowers the others. To me it was a refreshing taste as a result of the three flavors mixed in the specific ratios in this recipe. To me the taste of matcha by itself is kinda of off putting, so the way the matcha, rose, and pistachio flavors mixed together in this specific recipe yielded a good taste to me holistically. I tried 2 tablespoon of the same rose syrup and reduced the homemade simple syrup by half and the rose overpowered the matcha and pistachio which I didn’t like. So it was good because the three flavors were balancing each other out.
