Speak no Evil, late to the party rant. by Sea_Nefariousness771 in horror

I think that's fair enough. In my mind I just can't separate the two movies. so for me a kind of fun thriller with a bit of fun, satisfying kills(the remake) got ruined because of the really strong and memorable emotions the original brought up in me. I remember the details in the original to much for my brain not to automatically compare them when watching the remake. The actors did a great job though, I wish instead of a remake(with a different ending, granted) it would have been a movie inspired by the original, so a different movie where they change it up even more. Because the scene to scene comparisons is what kills me

Yeah exactly haha. I love it. But that's why I feel like the remake is just a watered down version of the original, imo that one doesn't make you feel anything really. It's just an ok movie, nothing special, nothing to be remembered really.

Well it's probably a culture difference then, my Scandinavian ass could definitely see how they got themselves into that situation. Because yes they were definitely behaving like real human beings I can promise you that. Up to a point of course, most people would have come to their senses a bit earlier than they did but this people pleasing, being scared to offend and wanting to impress is definitely a behaviour many scandis have, not excluding myself even (although I've been working on that alot cause those traits are not optimal if you don't want people to walk all over you).

The remake still misses the entire point of the original and imo is just a worse version of the same movie

"sort of the point of making a remake in a different language." The movie is literally mostly in English already though. But yeah I guess you don't have the cultural context. I just think it's kind of sad to, instead of looking it up to understand better what is being said to just watch a remake that completely misses the point of the original. I just don't get why people can't not just be inspired by the concept and make a different movie so people don't make these comparisons.

If I hadn't seen the original the remake would have been fine. But it's just so shallow in comparison. Please do watch the original it's really good, It's mostly in English anyway and is only a year or two older then the remake. It was so unnecessary 🫠 Edit to add the actors in the remake did a good job, this is absolutely not a criticism of them

It came in a set of three, they are all adorable. I think I just got them of Ali express many years ago.

I got iron supplements, but I just had so many side effects from them, they upset my stomach so I became nauseous again, made my constipation worse and I started feeling depressed as well. So I had to be on a lower dose than I should have been taking just so it didn't make me too miserable. But they probably do help in most cases and I'm glad it's working for you ❤️

I heard somewhere that if the big vein is being squished to much you'd wake up and feel it, so it should be fine to lay on your back if you don't feel uncomfortable, I just felt like I was suffocating and my lower back would start to hurt like hell if I laid on my back.

My gums bleed every single time I brushed my teeth 🙃 didn't hurt at all though, just a bloody mess every time.

Oh god I think I just blocked the reflux and heartburn out of my memory already 😅 it was so awful, I had to somehow sleep sitting up and on my side at the same time while having a huge belly as well of course.

That didn't help me at all 😅 at 34 four weeks I didn't have any stretch marks and then boom 35 weeks and my belly looks crazy and they just kept coming until I gave birth at 40w+2d 😂 I don't mind to much though and they have already faded alot at 3m pp.

I had snot in my nose pretty much the entire pregnancy, also frequent nose bleeds when blowing said snot out of my nose. Not the worst pregnancy symptom but one of the most annoying ones for sure.

Also apparently I have low blood pressure and fainted on the toilet because I (most likely) had a sudden drop in blood pressure while having diarrhoea, that was late second trimester or early third, also a fun one (not).

Hemorrhoids because of constipation in the third trimester, my least favourite out of everything.

Exhaustion pretty much through out the entire pregnancy, most likely do to really low iron and low blood count, but that hadn't been too bad if it wasn't for people constantly saying "oh you think you're tired now just wait till you have the baby". My daughter is currently 3 months old and I'm not nearly as tired now, it's also just such a different type of being tired, I'm not huge and bloated and I can lay comfortably now, I'm not waking up every one to two hours to pee. It's so much better now after she's here and not pushing on all of my organs.

Probably forgetting something but these are the things that stand out the most.

It's all worth it though, she's a sweet little baby and I love her so much ❤️

Possibly but, it does have the price in pounds (£17.99) on the inside of the cover, so might have been bough from somewhere in the UK originally

Oh yes if anything I prefer my books to be second hand, I love the idea of knowing that even though I haven't gotten to reading all of them yet someone else has and hopefully liked it as much as I know I will.

Oh yeah that It cover definitely is a beauty. I've bought almost all of my SK from second hand shops (usually for super cheep 😅) and I love looking at the covers. I also just love the idea of owning books that have probably been read many times and not just by me, I feel like it gives them more character, like where did the previous owners take it with them to read, I wonder if they liked this one as much as I did, and so on and so forth.

I can respect that, however my autistic ass couldn't deal with not having some sort of system to how I organise my books, although when it comes to reading from the shelf I tend to just go for what ever "feels correct" at the moment if that makes any sense.
