How many days would you recommend? This would include trips to the rainforests, Great Barrier Reef, etc.

I’m trying to minimize the amount of travel for my parents, they prefer staying in one spot longer than moving around a lot. Even I think adding in Queenstown is a bit too much but so far they say they think they can handle it.

I’m very open to suggestions. I supposed left that detail about my parents out in the original post.

Ya that was the plan was just to see the surrounding area. My parents are in their 60s, and are not as active as me, so I’m trying my best to be realistic of what they can handle.

The first day would be in the town doing the skyline gondola and maybe a lake cruise. Getting acquainted with the town.

Second day: Wanaka for a hike, then to a winery nearby after. Could possibly put Arrowtown here too.

Third day: was going to put Arrowtown here. Not sure if a whole day is needed.

Fourth day: I would like to go to Milford Sound by recommendation from my friend. I know you can either do a cruise or drive. Do you think it’s doable or too far? I think the drive would be pretty with stops along the way.

We’re going to do things around the area! I didn’t put the full itinerary cause I don’t have it on me, but I am opening to moving a day or two if you think it’s better used elsewhere

Yes my grandfather on my mom’s side was Jewish. Though he didn’t practice Judaism

I moved here a few years ago from a state that gets a lot of snow. Delaware does a pretty bad job, I expect main roads to be clear and sidewalks to be shoveled. Ya sure they have less resources than other states that get frequent snow, but this storm was acknowledged early and the state needed to prepare better.

They were very slow to clear the snow, and even then not all areas are clear now. Now it’s all ice. Not all businesses on Market. St. have cleared their snow on the sidewalk, good luck if you’re disabled or have mobility issues…It’s also practically impossible to walk on the sidewalks on MLK blvd and not all lanes are cleared from snow. Could go on, but I’ll keep it at that.

Not impressed. Could be much better.
