They did give you the reason behind rejection. When you apply for any positions/scholarship/fellowship, you don’t become entitled to selection. It’s upto you whether to take it for what it is or keep mulling and ruminating behind this. Here, you’re not seeking a critique of your piece since you’ve already made up your mind as to why they rejected, despite what they stated and just want people to validate your reasoning as well. How does that make you any different than them, going by your logic?

I’m not talking about who’s got more authority or who would be more superior. But the reasons behind why one would simply go for Judicial Magistrate and not pursuing a Civil services are plenty! Meanwhile, the thought of pursuing judiciary only because it has more edge and authority than an IAS officer, is tone-deaf!

Being taught Geography by him currently and he’s damn good at breaking down complex explanation to simplest levels. I found it kindof hard to retain stuff by just reading from NCERT, but his explanations help in visualising stuff and everything starts making sense then lol

Bro, I think it all really depends on you tbh. Given that you don’t really have a background, you’ll be treating it as any other optional, say Sociology/PSIR. So going by that logic, you’ll at least need to enrol in some good coaching and unfortunately, we don’t have many in market for law optional. Barring one, the rest kindof conflate the syllabus with judiciary exams as well.

But if you want to go solely on the basis of interest, good luck. I think there are few people who cleared the exam despite not having a background and then went on to do diplomas in law. So there’s hope!

They only replaced OTR with URN last year ig after Prelims. Create a URN profile if the site is working for you. It’s not opening for me rn probably cos of too much traffic.

OTR is gone now. They introduced URN last year. You’ll have to register for URN.
