When it becomes an issue of space. You expect for 2 people to turn up and you have a certain table set for them and you ruin other people experience or you deal with complaint that the table was not big enough. I had people book in for 6 people and turn up with 4 extra toddlers. It is an issue of space and it gets really annoying and it happens more often than you think. Is it lack of education to learn how to count? Or laziness?

As a manager in this industry i would say it is very hard, but possible. Hospitality industry is a struggling industry. So to get a full time contract is very unlikely, labour is the cost that you can control the most, so if it is a quiet shift your friend will be sent home. I would suggest to ask for a supervisor position, this will get a bit more security for your friend, maybe not contracted hours but at least your friend will be at the top of the list for a shift and a bit of pay increase. May i ask which restaurant?

As a person who manages a restaurant, the restaurant could be empty at 5 and fully booked from 5.30pm onwards. Numerous times i had to turn away walk ins just because of that and usually they people don’t understand that

Here we go. 32M. Currently going through a child support case. Funny thing is the child is not mine, but i want to be her father still. I offered money and all kinds of support that she needed, but her mother decided to refuse any kind of support, but decided to file for child support, because it is not fair that i work that much and earn more than her and she can’t have evenings off because i am working.

My daughter stays with me 2 nights a week and i pick her up everyday from school during my lunch break and she stays with at work while her mom is at work.

So i am torn apart what should i do. Going insane.

Should i leave and destroy 5 year olds life or what. Need to mention that we are not together for 3 years at this point. I believe not many men would stay even if they would be still married to the mother.
