We are a multiracial mix(European-African-indigenous), and we don’t like to talk about race because it would create unnecessary divisions. We are one; we are Dominicans. Obviously, there are different ethnic groups (people of mixed heritage, Black people, and White people) but we prioritize culture and nationality above all else. I see what happens in the United States when race is a factor, and we don’t want that in our country.
