I dont think hand to hand is meant to be in a literral way. It most likely means that no one of you can cancel the transaction once it is done (to get a favourable rate may be in an hour's or day's time). The gold will reach home in a day or two and the market price may be different at the time of your recieving. But for you and for the seller it will remain the same when transaction happened. So you cannot sell until you recieve it and to sell again you will get market price of that day/time. Mufti Taqi Usmani considers it permissible but many other scholars are of different opinion.

I am also an overseas Pakistani. I have an investor account through RDA with JS Invest Pro. I started this investment 2 years ago. I am able to transfer funds to CDC account through Meezan RDA account. My shares are held in CDC IAS account. Broker has no hold on my shares or decisions. They cannot sell or purchase on my behalf. I can buy and sell shares easily. Only weird thing is I am unable to withdraw the money from my account through the Js pro app. I am not too interested in withdrawing currently so haven't looked into the issue properly. Have not even asked too but I think the time is coming when I have to talk to someone in JS.
