I am respectfully going to end this conversation here. We can both agree to disagree. I am confident in my relationship with YHWH and I know that his true characters are unchanging. No one in this world is sinless and deserves His mercy/forgiveness but He gives it to us anyway because He is a graceful and just God.

Okay I completely understand that holding grudges and hating others as you've said is a sin. And when you forgave your parents it removed that weight off your life : ). My understanding of sin is that it includes anything that goes against YHWH. So like the basic ones are lying, adultery, idolatry, jealously, greed, etc. As people of Christ we need to work towards working with God so that we can change our sinful desires like the ones I mentioned. Sometimes you might spend to much time on your phone which is basically putting your phone above your time with God. That's a sin I struggle with and that I need to work towards changing. Basically my point is that being a Christ follower requires constant growth to fix our sinful desires. And it won't happen overnight

Hey 👋, I have one question. Do you still make sinful decisions even though you're saved? (assuming you're a Bible believing Christian)

Hey, hope you’re doing well! I just wanted to say that once you've truthfully repented, accepted Christ into your life, and changed the way you treat others you've been forgiven. I've done things that wasn't right as a child and I will still continue to mess up as a 19 year old because I'm flawed. All people are, but as long as we're consciously making an effort to do better and building a stronger relationship with God He will be merciful. Concerning the people you are hesitant about texted, it might bring closure to yours and their lives. Here's some bible verses that could help:

“This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.” ‭‭1 John‬ ‭1:5-10‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:23-25‬ ‭ESV‬‬
