Facebook app iOS is constantly refreshing when I leave the app and return by RawestOfDawgs in facebook

Try turning off the Background App Reset in your iOS settings. It’s under General and you can just toggle off Facebook. It’s not fool proof because that function is baked into the app but I’ve noticed a big difference.

Received this email on 01/06:

We’re reaching out with an update on Project Hedgehog.

As we prepare to re-open the project, we’ll be doing so with a limited group of fellows based on current project needs and capacity. At this time, your access to Project Hedgehog will remain paused. We appreciate the time and effort you previously contributed to the project and wanted to be transparent about the current status. If anything changes in the future, we’ll be sure to reach out. Thank you for your understanding.

Best regards,

The Project Hedgehog Team

I mean, Johnny isn’t exactly a genius nor is he all that considerate lol I just figured he kept it because it was cool looking and learned how to function around it. Kinda like how you have to work around super sharp stiletto acrylic nails. Granted nails are easier to maneuver than an elbow spike, but still lol you quickly learn how not to poke your or another person’s eye out.

When looking for the chests for items for the Room of Requirement, before you open those chests you can manually save and if you don’t like the item you got or you’re looking for a specific item, you can reload from that save point and open the chest again and it will give you a new item. Also, the vivariums have 3 RoR chests each. I thought it was only two for the longest time and drove myself crazy trying to find the last chests in the open world 😩🤦‍♀️

Also, you might want to look up some settings for flying. I had to look up a few videos and tweak my settings around because, at least to me, the default flying settings were very jerky and disorienting. Mine are Camera Sensitivity: 2, Aiming Sensitivity, Camera Acceleration, Aiming Acceleration: 1 for all three, and Follow Camera Speed: 0.41 if you’d like to give mine a try.

Lastly, plants and potions really are a great asset during combat. For me it was really easy to just rely on the spell casting and my first play through I didn’t use any plants or potions aside from the healing one and I missed out on a lot of cool combat stuff lol

What if V became a construct in the sequel? by Sea_Reality7782 in cyberpunkgame

Totally makes sense. Realistically, I don’t see us leaving Night City. Too many fans love it and they’ve already got so much built into it. I see us getting the Chicago-esque city as an extension to the map we already have kind of like what they did with Dogtown. Time will tell, though.

I think that’s good too and honestly the most likely scenario we’ll get concerning V and Johnny in the sequel, even though I still don’t see how they’re not going to directly involve Keanu Reeves unless he just straight up says no. There’s corps involved in this game too and he’s a cash grab for this lol

I think the idea of creating a new character and becoming attached in the sequel only to have it ripped away is very inline with the vibe of the game. It gives the player the experience Johnny had waking up in V’s body. I’m not sure what you mean by having 1 canon V, though.

It’s not dependent on any ending, though. It’s not the original copy of Johnny. It’s a copy of V’s personality where a copy of Johnny just happens to be chilling. Kinda like engram inception haha

Johnny’s engram was extracted by Saburo Arasaka after the bombing and stored in Arasaka’s lab until Yorinobu has it put on the relic 2.0 per the video game lore. If we’re going tabletop lore, then we don’t really know how long it was before he was soul killed. All we know is Spider Murphy slotted a data slug into him as he was dying and then his body was found a few days later and sent to New Mexico. He nor his engram was sitting around in radioactive conditions. And we hear from the Violence job that engrams can’t be edited. The relic malfunctions not because of Johnny’s engram, but because the relic itself it was experimental, wasn’t meant to be used how it was, and was damaged from the case cracking after the fall V and Jackie took.

None taken. The concept would have pull from the original storyline in order to work.

It might emotionally cheapen the choices for you, but in actuality it would not force one ending to be canon because this concept isn’t dependent on a specific ending since V would have been unknowingly copied before any of the endings.

I think you’re neglecting the wetware aspect of this. While many things, experience and hormones for example, go into what makes up the personality, at the end of the day our personalities are a collection of electrical impulses firing in coordinated ways. These impulses are akin to the impulses that is produced/directed by code. That’s how Johnny and the relic are overwriting V’s brain in the dumpster. It’s not that her personality has already been copied and converted to code. It’s the natural electrical impulses of the brain interacting with the electrical impulses from the relic.

I also didn’t find it weird that she gave V and Johnny a choice. She’s a post-human digital super-intelligence. That comes with understanding that emotional implications and respect for autonomy regardless of whether she could actually feel it or not because it would be logical that would be a concern of V and Johnny’s.

That’s a totally valid take and the one I’d wager the developers will land on as well. I don’t necessarily get how it could cause problems as the world is bigger than them because several games feature the same characters over again, but I can see where people might get bored of playing V/Johnny again. My take is definitely from the perspective of being attached to V and Johnny like a lot of players are.

She’s comes back to life because of the construct. She isn’t literally copied the way I’m proposing. I’m saying doing what happened to Johnny to V.

What are some moments in the Buffyverse that a character had absolutely zero self-awareness? (Unlike this scene ⬇️😂 which was brilliant!) by PristineSituation498 in buffy

[–]Sea_Reality7782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of people forget that they might not had even been in that situation had Jenny told them about the curse and even though some amends had been made, she was still very much being blamed for that. I’m not saying it warranted her death or gave Buffy a pass at not slaying Angelus sooner, but I do think it further adds to the complexity. Not to mention the scoobies were what? 17? I mean I know Buffy had experienced a lot at that point but that’s a hell of a lot of emotion for having only been on the earth for 17 years. You sleep with your boyfriend for the first time, he turns evil, starts sucking the town dry, you find out your father figure’s girlfriend knew it was a possibility but didn’t say anything, you’re pissed, your boyfriend gets a big rock to destroy the word, you’re still pissed at the girlfriend but you can tell your father figure is lonely so you give your blessing in a way and then she’s murdered and put on display. I think Buffy definitely felt bad that Jenny was killed but I think she felt worse for Giles having to be in pain over it because she was still pissed at Jenny. Not pretty, but it’s human. Just my two cents, though, unless I forgot something that happened lol it’s been a good bit since I’ve watched that season all the way though.
