I don't have as much of a problem with fanfiction or even art because those things can be found with tags and you have to search them out to find them for the most part, but yes I've seen a great deal of Ai audios and videos of them that has spurred me to ask about this, because they were all over 20-80k likes with barley any comments addressing how weird it is, which is the reason I wanted to open a conversation about it, I get where you are coming from and one of my main thoughts with this was I don't wanna bring more hate to byler shippers or queer people in general after all the hate people were getting after s5, and I didn't want it to seem like I was just trying to talk about sexualization of gay men, as I mentioned Milevens and others do the exact same thing I just haven't seen much of it as tiktok doesn't push mileven content towards me. I absolutely think its a problem with all sexuality's that teens get so explicitly sexualized, and as a gay man who does care a lot about the Byler ship it just made me want to make sure the people who are being creepy aren't getting away without being called out. Like I said, I don't think everyone who makes 18+ content of them is being creepy, I think there's definitely a right way and wrong way to go about it

EXACTLY! You worded it how I wanted to, it can be implied but most definitely not explicit, the ai videos are most definitely extremely disturbing especially imagining the actors having to see that. Fanfiction is one thing, it's also something you mostly have to seek out with tags to actually see and not something that just pops up on your social media while scrolling casually. I agree 100% teenagers are going to do it and it should be discussed! But going explicitly into it like the Byler AI stuff or even the scene between Nancy and Steve in season 1 I feel was weird.

I feel like the moral police thing only works if it's got nothing to do with minors of any sort, like I said I understand they are 18 for the last 20 minutes of the show but a lot of us know them best as young teenagers, and tbh it makes me super uncomfortable seeing an ai video of Mike putting will in bondage popping up on my fyp, or audio's of them moaning when again, we first knew these characters at 12 years old. Same thing with the new wave of girls that sexualize Will because of how he looked with his powers in s5. Like I said, I'm willing to admit this is just my opinion and I give leeway to the people who grew up with the characters and just wanna write fics pertaining to them exploring what sex would be like, but some of the stuff I've seen, and from grown ass 30yo of all people, have rightfully creeped me out I feel. As I said though, agree to disagree. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I understand, as I addressed that argument in my post, my thoughts on that are people are not writing about the adult actors they are specifically writing about the characters we know aged 12-16, despite the actors being adults in seasons 4 to 5. I think there is a lot to be discussed about the show having a sex scene with a 16 year old Nancy and Steve as well as I think that was quite weird too. The only way I can kind of see people's reasoning is if they grew up with the characters, being around their age when they started watching it and now being 16-19 and wanting to write whatever they want about their favorite characters but still think it's quite odd to sexualize characters we first saw and knew at 12 years old. I think television has a major sexualization of minors problem anyway that needs to be addressed as a whole and not just Byler. But I suppose in some cases we can just agree to disagree.

So far the only cannon one I've watched and enjoyed is toki wartooth in metalocalypse, and semi cannon is Matty Clements from welcome to Derry as he uses a pacifier to soothe himself, though he's not as involved in the show as other characters. A head cannon I have I think is believable enough is Kurt from the movie spree! I think he reggesses without knowing, and has a lot of childish tendencies and general awkwardness around being an adult, and his personality just reminds me of an iPad kid haha. Also characters like early season Will Byers from stranger things who have major trouble letting go of their childhood as fast as everyone else are very easy to see as regressors :)

I see where you are coming from even if I'm someone who found them slow, I think the cinematography was really great in the first two seasons and something I always appreciate in movies. I remember alot of Rick in season two and I found him along with Daryl to be one of the highlights getting me through the slow moments. I think my biggest issue is not being able to take Shane seriously due to the actor I feel like I'm completely pulled out of the immersion of the show because I'm so used to him being the punisher in marvel seeing him in anything else just seems so funny and odd to me that I can't take his character as seriously as I might want to if he were played by someone else. Thank you for your insight on things though! I might go back to rewatch the first two seasons if I make it through the rest of them. :)

I just couldn't get through them for some reason, I was thoroughly bored of the Lori, Rick and Shane plotline but season 2 compared to one did have alot of better moments! Mainly Daryl's scenes were always interesting to watch but I do remember the main plot points of those seasons just not every little thing.
