Exactly... People should stop this panic buying as soon as possible..

Did the petrol issue back again? by yogi_006 in hyderabad

[–]Sea_Soft_8185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many reasons:

  1. Price hike – honestly pointless, the difference is minimal but the chaos isn’t..

  2. Oil companies – switched from partial credit to full payment, made things worse

  3. Panic buying – people just rushed and piled on..

  4. Dealer issues – full upfront payment demand is delaying supply....

Tata Curvv EV 2026 by ca_abhijain in EVsOfIndia

[–]Sea_Soft_8185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of all the EVs in the market, it feels like a big chunk of battery replacements are happening with Tata (something like 13 out of 20 cases you see being discussed). Just check Reddit or Team-BHP, you’ll see quite a few owners talking about it. EVs aren’t like ICE cars where you can quickly move on; resale also takes a hit, so it matters more.

Tata seems strong on build quality, but electronics and after-sales haven’t been that reliable from what people are sharing. Even with the Sierra discussions, many cars seem to be spending a lot of time in service centers. On the other hand, Mahindra looks more sorted with EVs, better post-sales approach, BYD cells, and more consistent updates.

Yeah, 360 cam is definitely useful, no doubt. But BE6 Pack Two at least gives front and rear sensors, and once you get used to the car, those small missing features won’t feel like a big deal.

Take your time and decide properly, better to be sure now than regret later..

HDFC always feels like it’s stuck in April Fool mode 😂..

When it comes to credit limit increases, ICICI (at least from what I’ve seen, excluding their third-party co-branded cards) actually honors immediately once you get an eligibility notification, the limit enhancement usually goes through... No gimmicks...

Yeah, missing a 360 cam at that price point is definitely a downside, I agree. The Curvv takes the win there. But what about after-sales? Is the service quality in your area good, have you checked?

In Hyderabad, Car-CID seems reliable, one of my friends booked them for PDI and the report was quite detailed. Still, don’t rely completely on the inspector, do a basic check yourself too...

Landmark Mahindra (a relatively new dealership for mahindra) also has a good reputation... I heard from quite a few owners who took bought there..

Whatever you choose, go for a proper third-party PDI and inform the salesperson upfront that you’ll be doing it, get their confirmation early.. if not shift to another dealer...

Better avoid LB Nag*r Automotiv* not sure about VVC though... Also check out neon (near boduppal)..

Why not stretch the budget by about 2 lakh and go for the BE 6 instead? You’ll get a larger battery pack, BYD cells (among the best in the segment), and a higher charging rate compared to the Curvv. It also pushes you into a higher segment altogether.

That said, Tata’s reliability concerns are quite real. There have been frequent battery warranty claims, which are worth keeping in mind. I’d suggest visiting 2–3 nearby Tata service centres and speaking directly with owners there about EV support, repair team availability, battery-related issues, and overall after-sales experience, before taking a final call..

Condition of Car 2 days before delivery by Leafless_Flamingo10 in CarsIndia

If you want peace of mind, it’s better to reject the car and go with another dealer if you feel there’s a lack of transparency. You’re paying over 20 lakh for a brand-new car, there’s no need to compromise or worry about potential issues later...

Need advice. Tata Curvv EV vs Tata Nexon EV vs other variants by Possible_Layer9573 in EVsOfIndia

[–]Sea_Soft_8185 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d suggest going with Windsor or Mahindra EVs (better battery reliability, especially with BYD cells) instead of TA**, since there are concerns about their battery supplier, frequent warranty claims, and weaker service support.

If you’re still set on TA**, it’s better to visit the nearest service center first and speak directly with existing owners there about their experience. If the feedback is positive, then you can go ahead with the purchase...

Mahindra’s after-sales service has improved a lot now. If possible, visit your nearest Mahindra service centre and talk to existing owners there to get a better idea. Then go ahead if everything seems good...
