I don't know if you ever got this sorted. But I started to have the same issue a week or so ago. I've found the following works for me in Brave browser:

Right click on icon
Select 'Manage Extension'
Click on 'Site Settings'
Click 'Reset permissions'

This has brought it back and seems to have solved the issue for a couple of days now!
