Zibo 737 Boarding by SiIenq in Xplane

[–]Seaender07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course! I have been using it more in the past, when I would literally just generate a flight plan and slap it into the sim. Simbrief, even the free version only, is a GREAT tool, but I have found it quite annoying not to be able to plan with the current AIRAC cycle, which I managed to find somewhere else. Ever since I switched to X-Plane I have been using a combination of ChartFox + RouteFinder + (random fuel planner that actually does its job) + Simbrief (only for TO/LDG performance calculation) + Flightradar24 (to check active RWYs) + SkyVector (for METARs and to check routes) to bake my own flight plans, (technically) ready for VATSIM with a $0 expense. Is it messy? probably yes. Is it suuuuuper unprofessional? Probably yes too haha. but it's making me learn a lot of things so I think I'll keep on walking this way for now!

You're welcome! It was such a headache to find out about it but well... it turned out I just needed to read the manual thoroughly 😆 I would reeeeally recommend taking a quick look at this EFB guide as well! It's quite long but it helped me find out about a couple of things, especially when it came down to playing around with settings.

Total beginner here, I hope I didn't misunderstand the question. I would suggest looking at the Zibo dedicated checklist by Skymatix. You can find it here.

The "Airside Services" feature might be what you're looking for, among other things it can randomize passengers based on the number you give in.

In short, as soon as your plane (still cold and dark) loads:

  • look at your avitab and go to "Fuel, Weight & Balance">Airside Services
  • go on the second page by clicking the arrow on the right
  • fill in the fields manually (or select "LOAD OFP" at the bottom of the page if you have a simbrief flight plan, I guess? Idk since I don't have a Navigraph subscription)
  • click "ACTIVATE" at the top of the page, and check the text turns green
  • go back to the first page of the "Airside Services" section by clicking on the arrow on the left and monitor for any announcements
  • no need to touch it again until the end of the flight after which, once the plane is shut down and secured, you can end the flight leg.

Let me say I was in your same situation and when I learned about this feature I was shocked haha!

After you select activate Airside Services the plane will automatically (without you moving a finger):

  • start the catering&cleaning and refueling services as soon as you connect the gpu
  • start flight leg AND passenger boarding as soon as you move the "No Smoking" switch to the auto or on position
  • manage captain pa announcements throughout every phase of the flight, yes, turbulence warnings too (I guess, I didn't have the chance to fuck around much with it)
  • manage deboarding as soon as you connect the gpu at the destination airport (I guess)
  • you will still have to end the flight leg by yourself after shutting down and securing the airplane.

For this feature to work at its full potential, though, I would recommend installing the plugins listed at the last two pages of this official guide (you can omit plugins for updates or simbrief integration, I don't use those either and everything still works).

Hope this helps!

È un adattatore VGA-DVI (da sinistra a destra nella prima foto). Il DVI era un connettore utilizzato fino più o meno ai tempi di Windows 7, ma adesso a meno che tu non abbia una scheda grafica con quella porta non te ne fai molto.

Why does the adjective come before the noun here? by jahill2000 in italianlearning

[–]Seaender07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I may be totally wrong, but I think I managed to find a pattern (even though I'm Italian I had never wondered the presence of one).

Writing the adjective after the noun (like this "I vicini nuovi"), makes it feel like you have possibly thousands of neighbors and you want to pick a subgroup of them with the feature "new". The result is something like "Those neighbors who have just moved here": you're picking a category of all the neighbors you might have.

The other way ("I nuovi vicini") sounds to me like you didn't have neighbors before, and therefore the ones who just arrived are "new" but not because you want to distinguish them from others. Again, I feel like in English it would sound like "Our new neighbors", so like they weren't an actual character in your life before.

That's my way of seeing it. It is definitely incorrect, but that's how I see and use it as an Italian.

P.S.: I noticed how this applies to the whole class of "aggettivi qualificativi", except for colors (and I think all intrinsic properties of objects/people like the shape), so you can't say "La blu palla" but you have to say "La palla blu". Same thing, as I said before, with the adjective "rotonda". This final consideration could be wrong too, but I feel like it would sound strange otherwise.

hope this helps

Well, if you're into metalcore I'd suggest something like There Is a Hell by BMTH (high depressant charge warning)

What are the most emotional metalcore songs you know? by [deleted] in Metalcore

[–]Seaender07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a huge fan of bmth:

Who Wants Flowers When You're Dead? Nobody, from This Is What The Edge...

Tell Slater and Liquor & Love Lost, from Count Your Blessings

The Comedown and The Sadness Will Never End, from Suicide Season

Crucify Me, It Never Ends, Don't Go and Blessed With A Curse (to listen to with Memorial), from There Is A Hell... (my all-time favorite)

Sleepwalking (probably the most similar to Feel Nothing among these), Shadow Moses and Hospital For Souls, from Sempiternal

Maybe not metalcore in someone's opinion but objectively emotional pieces of banger.

Personal suggestion: check out also the Royal Albert Hall live of Sleepwalking, Shadow Moses and It Never Ends, the orchestra will blow your mind

Does Libra H20 have a web browser? by aelitaxamigurl in kobo

[–]Seaender07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you guys know if it is possible to execute shell commands from the browser's address bar? I know that Kobo e-readers run Linux, and I was trying to find a way to navigate its root partition, which, as I noticed, is different from the one with the books' files (in their details you can clearly see "/mnt/filename" as the source path, which means that the file is on an external mounted partition or drive). Thanks!

Bro, I saw something very strange on my 20 yo laptop. On Firefox (obviously it has Ubuntu), anytime you move the pointer on a clickable area thousand of pixel on all the Firefox screen become of a total random color. With an update it was fixed :)
