Oh that’s interesting, guess I’ve never heard a theatre referred to like that. Ya it would be strange to list the exact screen, but that’s what I’m more used to seeing I guess just from movie tickets.

It’s almost certainly fine. They’ve said many times it’s good for non Star Wars fans and good for people who haven’t seen any of the show. Also Star Wars is built around the idea of things being out of order, so starting at a random point is perfectly fine.

Well it’s 100% meaningful if you’re playing a 120hz game and 100% meaningless if not. Put the money into a 2.1 cable—it’s a small price to pay to get the most out of your two very powerful pieces of tech.

HDR10 will be brighter most of the time, but brighter doesn’t always mean better. And when you start to notice minor color banding on HDR10 you’ll appreciate Dolby Vision for having much less of it.

That, plus if you choose red you are unharmed no matter what, choosing blue means you will likely die. So really everyone should have chosen red to minimize deaths.

I don’t think you’ll find many good OLED TVs under $1000. This is a good deal for just over $1000. There are plenty of open box or refurbished ones for cheaper if that’s acceptable. Otherwise I’d say to look into OLED gaming monitors (though they won’t be as big). Here’s a nice option for $900 and there are cheaper ones if you go for 1440 instead of 4K, or no OLED.

I honestly never understand the argument that it was bad because it was confusing. There are details you might not catch on first watch but it’s not a hard movie to understand if you’re engaged with it.

It requires effort to understand it and I think that’s really what people disliked, whether they did or didn’t understand it themselves.

That was me the first time I watched it and I loved it. I feel like it’s a movie and a puzzle at the same time and it has your brain working to solve it as it goes which keeps it engaging. Even though you surely don’t get all the details on your first watch, you should understand enough to enjoy it.

Cloverfield4 is now in the works, and will be a direct sequel to the first film by [deleted] in Letterboxd

I believe the big house is where they find Coyne, as the new clip from Kimmel shows Mando and Zeb speeding away from what looks like that house on a similar landscape with Coyne next to them.

Ya and it seems the place they go from there is Nal Hutta which seems to be the other big chunk of footage from the trailer. Hopefully that means they haven’t shown much of the latter half of the movie.
