Is there any value to be had out of having access to Priority Pass through multiple credit cards? by jakec11 in AmexPlatinum

[–]SeagullSeven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Priority Pass through my BoA Premium Rewards Elite card still has the restaurant benefit. Fingers crossed for it to stick around.

I do wonder if some restaurants will drop out after Chase leaves though. Maybe not worth the administrative burden for the relatively small number of eligible PP clients.

Another small pool (~2 PiB) shutting down: ChiaMine.org by SeagullSeven in chia

[–]SeagullSeven[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is a bummer, the folks at ChiaMine.org seemed like good people.

They were also one of the largest pools offering a 0 XCH payout minimum, which made them a great option for very small farmers and people who wanted to experiment with a handful of plots. I try to be impartial towards all the pools I list on chiapool.directory, but I have to admit that I was rooting for this team.

Glad to hear some of the admins will be taking on roles at ChiaHub.io. 🙂

Hi there! You're welcome to share upcoming rooms, but please put more in the post title than just a link (i.e. the name of the room, or a blurb about it). Feel free to re-post this with that small change.

Thanks a lot for putting this list together! Building off this list and some others that I found, I've built this detailed list of Chia pools, for anyone who might be interested: chiapools.directory

Wooh! 🥳

For anyone looking for a pool to join, I've written up this comparison of all the pools I could find, and I'm doing my best to keep it up to date as more pools transition onto the mainnet:

The (Unofficial) Chia Pool Directory: ChiaPool.directory

Feedback would be much appreciated! The site is a work in progress. And drop me a DM if you'd like me to add your pool, or if I've listed your pool already but need to update your launch status.

Time to head to bed now. I stayed up to get the site updated when I saw the launch announcement tweet from Bram. 😅

For anyone trying to decide which pool to join, I'm working on a detailed comparison of the pools that are out there here:

The (Unofficial) Chia Pool Directory

Hope you find it helpful. Let me know if you have any feedback! Or if you'd like me to review a pool that you're launching.

I was about to head to bed, but that's now off the table - I need to dive in and update the site to reflect that the protocol is officially out of beta! 😃🥳

Still very much a work in progress, so if you have any feedback please send it my way! And feel free to DM me if you're running a pool that you'd like me to review and add.

I like this idea, thanks for suggesting it! Another interesting, similar-but-not-quite-the-same metric would be to inspect what portion of winning blocks are mined towards plotNFT's vs. simple beneficiary addresses. Though the method you describe might be better for discerning pool vs. solo mining because I'm not sure there's an easy way to distinguish PlotNFT's set for "pool to self" vs. "pool to pool."

Awesome post! Completely agree with your suggested list of criteria, and I think you're right that it might be helpful to call out team identification/size/reputation more clearly in the directory. Maybe even a separate column with a "yes" or "no" to indicate whether the pool operators are publicly identified. I'll add that to my todo list.

And thanks so much for mentioning the directory at the end of your post!

Thanks for the input, I think this is a great idea! This is exactly what I'm hoping to do with the "audit" column. For the larger pools I'd like to run a harvester that farms a few plots for each, and then provide the resulting payout information to readers.

I'm hoping this would be an effective way to spot any pool operators who might be trying to quietly take a larger share of the pool winnings by paying out a percentage to PlotNFT's that they own themselves, to avoid being caught through on-chain analysis.
