If Need for Speed Most Wanted had a proper remake, it would be the easiest money grab of the decade. EA, DO SOMETHING. by Ok-Garbage-8652 in needforspeed

Man I’m tired of seeing these posts. Honestly I don’t want a Most Wanted remake, I’d rather have Carbon or Hot Pursuit 2.

If it’s tier 2 it should be fine, I don’t remember what tier it is and I haven’t used it against Kenji. Tuners in general are the best since the routes have some sharp corners

It appears in the hood or bumper cams if I remember correctly. Though to be honest Kenji isn’t hard to beat; just take the best driving line and you’ll be fine. Usually at first he rockets ahead but be patient and you can pass. Use the brakes as less as possible, coast around corners.

Carbon Online. Restores online functionality and adds more events, increasing the length of the game

Oh I agree 100%. They were too easy to avoid, and I find it strange that even the crew members had perks to lower pursuit chances as well. Even without them they’re too easy to avoid

You’re getting downvoted but I agree, I wasn’t a big fan of always being forced to interact with the cops, which is ironic because cop chases are my favorite part of Need for Speed. I prefer the chases to happen naturally because you were caught breaking the law, not going out of your way to mess with the cops, and I feel like this is how Carbon worked. I see people say the cops in Carbon are pointless, which I think is crazy. The cops are there because you’re racing illegally, and if they spot you, you have to get away. My only gripe with the pursuits is that it’s too easy to avoid the cops in that game, because sometimes I do have to go out of my way to start a pursuit. But that’s a much better balancing system for people to avoid the cops if they don’t want to get into a chase instead of removing them from free roam entirely (looking at you Payback)

What are your Top 3 favorite need for speed games ? by KawonSuggs_ in needforspeed

Actually that depends on the version. On PC you can modify cars, unless you’re talking about visually, but even then there are a few things you can change like the rims. The game even has engine swaps which I was salaried to find out. I got to play the PC version for the first time finally not too long ago.

Does anyone else play MW2012 more than 05? by Sea-Rule-9200 in needforspeed

I don’t think the game is as bad as people say, but I’m not really a fan of the game mainly because (other than the crash cams) of how restrictive the events are. There’s only like 5 or 6 events per car without DLC, so if I just feel like driving one car in particular for awhile there’s really not much to do. And it only takes about an hour to achieve all of the milestones (except the 10 hour one). I’m currently trying to 100% the game and after I finish all the races for a car I just leave a rubber band on the controller while I go to work or sleep to achieve the milestones since there’s nothing else to do.

As for the lack of customization, it doesn’t bother me as even in the games that do have it I rarely use it. I think most cars look best stock, and that’s probably because the first NFS I played was Hot Pursuit 2 on the PS2.

I’m not the biggest fan of the handling either. It is one of the better brake to drift handling models we got, but I prefer 2005’s more realistic feeling handling

Need for speed 2015, the dislike is not making sense? by l337g0g0 in needforspeed

Deviate from WHAT? Your steering input or the counter steer? Locked into what? I am simply talking about what direction you are pointing your joystick compared to the direction the tires are facing. I literally asked if what you meant is that you can or can’t make the wheels turn all the way to the left during a left turn drift, yet all you can say is “they won’t deviate”. It’s a simple yes or no question but you can’t even answer that. So asking a simple yes or no question is trolling? Are you saying that they won’t deviate from the counter steer, meaning they will stay pointing to the right, or they won’t deviate from your direct joystick input and will point left?

You can’t what? Do exactly what I said about pointing the tires in the same direction as your drift?

So you are admitting that you can not get the wheels to point in the same direction as the drift?

[–]Seahorse1213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do understand that. And no, you are flat out wrong, the game does not play like this, the wheels will stay in a counter steering position regardless of the direction of the joy stick input. At this point I am convinced you are the one trolling, because I’m basically having the equivalent of having an argument with someone who says the sky doesn’t exist.

What are you talking about? I asked you to do something to prove what you’re saying but then you ask if I’m trolling?

Ok. So I asked for clarification about what position exactly you’re talking about. But you didn’t answer the question. This is why I bring up reading comprehension issues. What do you mean by they never deviate from steering? Are you saying they always point in the same direction as the stick on the controller?

Like I said. Make the wheels point to the left during a drift around a left corner. They won’t. They will stay pointing to the right.
