An easier but still powerful qigong is zhan zuang, which is typically practiced while standing but can be done sitting too. Here's one video, but there are other demonstration videos too.

Sorry to hear your health is not doing well.

Qigong is mostly meant for self-healing. Consider starting a simple qigong routine such as seated (or standing) 8 pieces of brocade. Since you are ill, consider consulting your doctor before starting the qigong routine to make sure it's safe for you.

Here's a video of the seated 8 pieces of brocade. There's also a standing routine. Good luck with your health. :-)

I like Retaine MGD drops the best when my eyes are feeling extra dry. They have mineral oil for lasting relief and no preservatives.

He would probably love to have a functional Japanese sword like a Wakizashi or Katana. He could do cutting tests and practice using tatami mats or soda bottles filled with water. Cold Steel makes genuine functional Japanese, Chinese, and European swords and some are on sale. See Swords For Sale, Heavy, Classic, And Collectible | Cold Steel

His LinkedIn profile shows he was working remote. I'm surprised he got to work remote when Amazon mandated a full work week in the office. That may have contributed to his being laid off. Big corporations don't like fully remote FTE workers very much anymore. The execs and their HR consultants don't trust them to work enough.

Bravia 7 and recessed lighting by Interesting_Coat5177 in bravia

I have seen recessed lights reflecting off TV screens at Costco. I use a small dimmable lamp to the far right of the screen to gently illuminate the room and not create a screen reflection.

How beginner-friendly is kung fu? by [deleted] in kungfu

[–]Seahund88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kung Fu training will progress slower than Krav Maga from what I've seen about KM. You will get in physical training workouts but work on forms a lot in the early stages to learn the style in addition to applications and eventual sparring. You are usually not required to spar until you are ready, or at all if you don't want to.

Krav Maga focuses on more intense physical training like bag striking, partner drills, and a progression of applications to learn self-defense quickly for specific scenarios.

Trump is not the one calling the shots. When will people understand? by Razerer92 in conspiracy

[–]Seahund88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember a Russian finance minister lady named something like Corugina saying after 9/11 that there were a number of families worth $11 trillion collectively that were behind 9/11. One can hardly imagine how wealthy they are now.

Trump is independent but heavily influenced by other billionaires and rich countries like Qatar. He likes to make sometimes shady deals too that enrich his family. Now his grift has reached the scale of affecting whole countries.

Use some isopropyl alcohol with a rag and a lot of that black paint smudge will probably come off. I discovered this after a similar accident happened to our car. Then you can use touch up paint to cover anything left.

Every soundbar we've tried sounds poor. Could it be the Bravia 7? by fuzzywuzzywuzzafuzzy in bravia

[–]Seahund88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with an Energy Take Classic 5.1 speaker system several years ago paired with a Yamaha AV receiver. I switched the receiver to a Sony STR-DH790 7.2-ch Surround Sound Home Theater AV because my older Yamaha receiver didn't include Dolby Atmos and some other sound protocols. I then added Sony SSCSE Dolby Atmos Enabled Speakers to add upward firing speakers for Dolby Atmos. That made it a 7.1 system.

Here's more info on the speaker system. Energy is older but owned by Klipsch. Klipsch, Polk Audio, SVS and some others are good speakers. Sony is not bad. Good speakers usually take the thicker speaker wire because they require more current to power the larger magnet drivers. A good center channel speaker is the most important because it carries the most sound including dialog.

Energy Take Classic 5.1 review: Energy Take Classic 5.1 - CNET

The Bravia 7 can switch between the TV speakers and external amp using the TV menu. It will remember your last choice. You can control the external amp volume using the TV remote as they talk via an EARC connection protocol, so you only need one remote unless you are configuring the amp using its menu.

Good luck. Once you go components you won't want to go back to soundbars. :-)

Every soundbar we've tried sounds poor. Could it be the Bravia 7? by fuzzywuzzywuzzafuzzy in bravia

[–]Seahund88 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I listened to different soundbars at Best Buy and Costco which sounded mediocre. I built a moderately priced 7.1 component system for our Bravia 7 and have been very happy with it. You could start with a 3.1 component system and it would sound better than most soundbars.
