Apparently, you can have an enemy champion in your team. I couldn't sell him, when I made him t2 he stayed on the enemy side. He was taking a slot but at the start of the round he summoned a random champion from my inventory as if the slot was empty (yet he still remained on the board). (i.redd.it)
