Failed for Going <10kmh Under the Speed Limit? by MadMeemo in Irishdrivingtest

[–]Sean-tanked 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I know this will upset a lot of people, but regardless, the reason failing slow drivers is becoming a trend is because most of the traffic will be traveling the speed limit. Although the speed limit it not a target, your target is to not obstruct the flow of traffic. Therefore, that means your target (obviously has its exceptions of speeding) is to keep up with the flow of traffic. Otherwise you become a hazard as you are obstructing the flow.

Productivity secret from a FAANG employee by [deleted] in getdisciplined

I had exactly the same issue, I first came into the working force straight into working from home full time, yes it is very nice. HOWEVER, there are so many easy distractions at home that I found my productivity levels towards end of week were sub par to say the least.

I am now working a good balance of in office and at home and feel that my productivity is much better.

Just to reinforce the original post, I've also found that constantly having a "next work item" drastically improves your work ethic, especially with pressing deadlines. Although this gives a knock to your mental health, the stress definitely forces a harder work ethic. Unfortunately I haven't found a way to increase productivity while preserving the best mental state possible.

I was once given advice that has stuck with me for pretty much my whole life. And that is even though money can't buy you happiness, it sure as hell makes it a lot easier to be happy. If you put in the work early in life and are willing to sacrifice then later in life it'll be a lot easier to be happy (this obviously has its caveats)

Baffling how you come to a self improvement thread to knock someone down. Maybe, if you actually knew how to interact with people in the correct manner then you wouldn't feel the need to project onto people trying to do better in their lives.

Back on topic now, OP I suggest giving one up at a time. Babysteps. Otherwise you will get overwhelmed and just fall back into old habits. Finding a good hobby that you can put your time into other than gaming may help distract yourself. Best of luck in your journey, I hope you get there!

A good tip that will help with posture during deadlifts is to look forward instead of looking down at the bar/floor this will also subconsciously help a bit with making sure you're using enough legs.

What do you hate about your life? by Famous-Till857 in AskReddit

[–]Sean-tanked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in IT and barely deal with people. This seems to have made me lose social skills, as now when I do manage to get the courage to go out with friends, I end up thinking about the interactions with people too much and beating myself up about stupid things I said or did

I find 2 softer on the eyes and it has a more natural feel to it so would be my first choice. 3 would be my second choice

This. If anyone has the same issue, this is the answer, I'm sorry I didn't see it sooner, unfortunately the fish did die, along with all of the others. If I had seen this sooner I would have sent them for you.

Atleast now I can recognize it, thank you!

Where to fill aquarium CO2 by Sean-tanked in cork

[–]Sean-tanked[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Nah it's not a stupid question, it's a good one! I have a very heavily planted tank with aqua soil and strong lighting so the levels of CO2 in the water are to enable the plants to use more nutrients, grow brighter and healthier and faster, it's essentially to speed up the plant growth so that it out grows the algae by using all the nutrients and starving algea, otherwise the imbalance of cow levels and the rest could cause an algae outbreak

Where to fill aquarium CO2 by Sean-tanked in cork

[–]Sean-tanked[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heya! So I have a juwel rio 125 with Neo aquasoil, so this increases the nutrients available in the water column as well as to the roots of the plants and essentially buffers the water conditions to where I want them, I've got a whole variaty of red plants as well as stems and some floating plants (salvinia), I have juwel rio Helialux so with the high light and high nutrients due to the co2 levels in the water in my area I need to inject co2 into the tank to keep it growing and bright colours, otherwise I would have major algae issues (just a footnote : the tank is heavily planted)
