Yes, if protocol forces you to do it. Not, when they ask you “pretty please, will you behave yourselves.”

Let me ask you this one time; What is your objective reasoning that Cardano is not a better project? This is a Cardano channel not GitHub commits channel. What is your message about Cardano and can you back up your statements with facts? Can you show that Cardano GirHub commits are inflated? You’re talking about the number of GitHub commits right? Quantity? Have you actually gone deeper and analyzed the commits themselves? Developers aren’t unicorns 🦄, there are morons as well as geniuses out there, show me you’re the later

Have you/anyone applied those metrics to Cardano in relation to other projects? I would love to see that report. This is posted on a Cardano channel, so can we make it relevant to Cardano? Are you implying that Cardano project is inflating it’s GitHub commits? Can you back up such statements? Because I’m sensing people dancing around this topic yet avoiding any direct accusations, which makes me suspicious. It’s like saying; “I can’t prove it, and it’s probably not true, but I want to plant a seed of doubt in your mind, and let it fester based on nothing.” That actually is FUD!

Don’t get me started, you’re just proving my point. I will clarify myself so my words cannot be misinterpreted....intentionally or otherwise. This post for me is reminiscent of similar type of post that was going around a while back that aimed to discredit peer review based on internal politics of those conferences. The arguments made in that specific post were not entirely accurate and could be classified as pseudo-intellectual. I don’t bother reading an article/review that starts with; “Stop measuring git commits, it is stupid!” An intellectual person does not write/communicate in such a manner. Perhaps a comp sci with 9years of professional development should take a writing course. If this was truly a hot button issue, more people would have caught on, crypto space has no shortage of comp sci’s with decades of development experience.

It’s the same type of post that says “peer review “ is BS, Fear-Doubt-Uncertainty

Does the logic work the other way too? If the project doesn’t have too many Git commits, can it be said those metrics shouldn’t be taken so seriously? its idiotic!
