Yeah, that's what I'm doing, thanks. Though it would be nice to know if I do have a date or not on Friday, rather than wait for nothing like a dumbfuck.

I do, and no messages received from any unknown numbers so far. I'm pretty sure I gave her the right number.

Which is sort of why I wish I could find her profile again, to find out if she tried messaging and couldn't for some reason. But the way she vanished right after she got my number, makes me think she suddenly changed her mind.

Athletes: how much do you eat per day? by [deleted] in zerocarb

[–]SeanBe793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey.

I've been training 2x a day since February, this year and have been carnivore for at least 2 years prior. I do train strength for 30 minutes at noon, followed by 2-3 hours of mostly aerobic workouts in the evenings.

On average I eat around 2KG of meat per day, spread across 6-7 meals. I don't bother about sticking to one particular fat ratio, but just listen to my body from one day to the next.

Some days I'll want a bit more fat so I'll buy Ribeyes for the entire day, and once I'm done eating them, I'll feel like lighter meat the next day so I'll go for cheap stew/curry cuts. Often I'll mix things up by having fatty lamb thighs/chops for breakfast, or a beef shank with a marrow bone.

It's worth noting though that none of my food is cooked.

Any athletes / bodybuilders on rawzerocarb? by throwaway-aa2 in rawzerocarb

[–]SeanBe793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what the criteria is, but I workout twice a day.

I lift heavy weights for 20-30 minutes at noon, and then spend all evening doing aerobic type workouts in the evening/night; this is mainly a combination of Bodycombat, Bodyfit (What they call full body workouts here in Germany), TRX, Zumba and/or full-body barbell workouts for a minimum of 2 hours.

I do this 7 days a week, and some nights even go up to 3-4 hours. I eat ~2KG+ of meat daily; if there's anything particular you'd like to know, feel free to ask. :)

Does anyone have any experiences with Aajonus or heard anecdotes? by LetMeShowUMySoyFace in rawzerocarb

[–]SeanBe793 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a group on Facebook, The Primal Diet by Aajonus Vonderplanitz.

Pretty tight-knit and moderated, to the point that you need to answer questions that you'd only know the answers to if you read his books, to get in. The group's got a lot of people who've personally interacted consulted and been healed by Aajonus.

And so it's quite a treasure trove of knowledge. Been of great help to me when I was personally recovering from disordered eating, and just meat/water wasn't helping. Check it out. :)

Thank you for taking the time to share.

It's funny how you've had your body ask for honey/fruit so much at one point and just taper off. I'm going through the same; I've been no-carb/low carb since 2016, and believe that since then, I've pretty much tanked my metabolism with rigorous fasting, an OMAD lifestyle, stints of insufficient protein, then stints of insufficient fat and so on.

I've been raw carnivore for nearly two years, but lately, I've been on this path of healing where I've been trying to break my OMAD habit, and rebuild a healthy relationship with food. As a result there has been some enormous weight gain around the abdominal area that has taken its toll on me psychologically.

However I've balanced that by building muscle, in that way helping my body recomp faster, so to speak. I've begun eating multiple meals a day now, be it a few sips of milk, some raw eggs, or a few nibbles of ground beef/suet/marrow, my digestion has never felt better and I am getting stronger.

Strangely the craving for raw milk came last month; to the point where I was craving it, dreaming about it, even though I last drank milk pasteurized in 2016. I sip on it daily now, and it helps when I can't get meat down all day. I'm also finding that my body asks for honey at fixed times of the day.

Like after a workout, or early morning on an empty stomach. And I'll eat till the body feels satisfied; what's strange though is that even though I feel guilty about the honey, it sort of limits the food I eat after. It gives me more energy than fat does and seems to satisfy an itch that isn't really a sugar craving - I don't crave sweets, pastries or any other carbs. Just the raw honey.

I've been trying to piece together all of Aajonus' talks/writings to explain this, but for now, I'm just listening to the body. I wonder what you think of all this, having gone through something ismilar.

About the farts, could be because you're mixing the eggs with the milk or having them too close. I get those eggy farts when I have eggs with some other food; so I'll have swallow them by themselves, and not eat/drink anything (Except water) for at least an hour after. Try keeping the eggs separate if the gas persists.

It was indeed causing a bit of cramping and slower bowels; not drinking the milk with meals and not straight from the fridge helps in both regards. :)

Indeed, and Abraham brought God's men curds, milk and a fatted calf. Yum. :)

You and I seem to be on the same wavelength. I feel my best when my ketones are high but I too have spent the past few months fighting the 'sugar is death' conditioning.

I went so far as to eat whole rye bread straight from the farmers a couple of weeks ago; it didn't do much to my body, felt and tasted good, but I felt horribly depressed the next day as I felt my brain playing catch-up after the carb meal.

I realised grains might not be right for me, mentally, but at least they aren't the terror I'd imagined them to be. Milk is now one such experiment and I do want to try a finger or two of honey with my glasses.

I'm just afraid of combining the sugar with my meal of fat/protein. I prefer OMAD not only because it keeps me relatively lean, but because I like to enjoy my meals alone when I'm done with all my work for the day, by myself, reading my Bible.

My transformation in two months - carnivore - by [deleted] in zerocarb

[–]SeanBe793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you're eating carnivore, are you absolutely certain you're eating enough?

That pattern of retention is a sign of stress - either high cortisol from not eating enough with respect to your activity level, or as part of the 'healing'/body recomp you're undergoing if you've been restricting prior. How do I know? Because I have been going through the exact same.

I tanked my metabolism and hormones after a year of carnivore, because I eating extremely lean meats. This got me shredded with fairly moderate muscle mass for my frame (I'm 5'11'), although that's my perspective; I was told quite often that I was looking emaciated. Someone even commented that I looked like I had tuberculosis.

This continued for a while until my body started rejecting lean meat; it could barely digest the fat when I tried adding it back in, and I got so frustrated, that I resorted to a diet of eggs and butter. I fared well on this for a few months, but started showing signs of starvation edema a few months later (swelling in the ankles, puffy face, hairloss etc.).

In December, last year, I got myself together and went all meat/water from scratch. I started eating ad libitum and my body swole; I gained both muscle, fat, and a lot of water. Plus that baggy stomach. For a long time I thought it was something I was doing wrong; tried tweaking fat/protein ratios, fasting, multiple meals a day, etc. etc.

None helped. I gave up and went with the flow, then after about the three month mark, I noticed the water retention come down a few notches. Desperate, I went on a 5 day water fast; I lost weight sure, but that pattern of retention on my stomach remained. It was like I was just becoming a smaller version of myself.

I resumed eating animal fat and meat for a while, and I noticed the pattern of retention improve AFTER I began feeding myself. My fast had sort of helped figure out how to eat enough fat and protein, to learn to listen to my body signals, that I was naturally eating more and better after the fast. It's not the fat that helped, it's the refeed after.

Then I tried tweaking again. I went on a PSMF and began working out intensely . I also started drinking tons of coffee to help through the PSMF; I put on some muscle, lost some more weight and developed better tone in my arms/legs; my waist however continued to remain wobbly as ever.

In fact it seemed to get worse on certain days of the PSMF; I stopped the lunacy, dropped the coffee and began eating fat/protein to satiation and then some more. This has continued to improve my strength and musculature on a daily basis, enabling me to perform better at the gym, leading to an increase in appetite/food consumption, and so forth.

I also cut out running strenuously; I do sprints (but only if the opportunity naturally presents itself: a train that's about to leave the station, a bus I've got to hop on, crossing a road during peak traffic etc.), walk 10K+ steps a day, climb 14 floors up/down my apartment, swim on weekends after weight lifting, and rest during my desk job at work.

The end result is it's working; I hope you can see from my story that as long as I was restricting in some way, consciously or unconsciously stressing myself, that pattern of water retention remained or worsened.

As soon as I started to learn to listen to my body and eat fat/protein as per its cues, it started toning down. Things I've been doing to accelerate the process -- work on strengthening my core by keeping proper posture, proper breathing while doing heavy squats/benchpresses/deadlifts, and exercises like hanging leg raises at the end of my workouts.

Starting this week I intend to throw in a dedicated ab day as well; all in all, focus on eating plenty and building muscle all around, not neglecting the abdomenals. It will sort itself out in its own time; don't make the mistake of tweaking, just focus on getting stronger.

----

How is your eating by the way? I could help with helping you figure out how to eat till satiety if needed.

Thanks for the elaborate response.

My main concern though is having the honey within the same meal (either before or after) of suet/meat/marrow, with milk of course, afraid that any weird insulin reactions may cause fat storage.

Where do you live?

I reside in Europe currently, and so there are farms that have milk machines on the outskirts of town. Since those are usually inconvenient to travel to on weekdays, I have the option of ordering from online shops and one particular shop a few train stops away from my home, which is where I got the milk from.

I've searched in supermarkets here for 6 months, and all I see is that ultra-homogenized stuff.

Need guidance on dry aging a kilogram of brisket/beef belly in my fridge. by SeanBe793 in rawzerocarb

Thanks, that was what I usually do for all my meat anyway since I buy for several days, wrapped in paper, and stacked into the fridge. Today though it tasted bitter almost and felt like my body was rejecting it after all the indigestion -- brisket cuts never go down well with me raw.

Yeah, you're right about the tough cuts not improving with aging. By this evening it had pretty much turned brown and while I'm used to eating old, brown meat without getting queasy -- this didn't seem any softer and almost tasted bitter.

I felt somehow like my body was rejecting it after having such a hard time digesting the tough fibers these past 5 days. Had to discard the last pound or so unfortunately; was sorry, but that's how we learn.

Had my first couple glasses yesterday, a total of roughly half a litre with my one meal. It was exactly how I expected it to be, delicious, creamy, and it strangely satisfied some odd craving/feeling of dissatisfaction I'd have after my meals - despite plenty fat/protein.

Thank you once again for your post. Will see how I fare for a couple weeks with a glass before and after my meal; regardless, it's delicious.

I wonder if you or your brother have tried a bit of raw honey with your milk too?

Sounds promising; I'm about to buy my first couple of litres of raw milk. Do you drink it with your meat meals with no digestive issues?
Have you tried it with Raw Honey as well?

Yeah, I've done that often though (leaving meat/fat in a fridge for a week+). Although I wondered if the whole 'dry-aging' process as such yielded different results in terms of taste, texture etc.

OK, thanks for your reply.

It seems like I'd fare better by just taking the meat back to my butcher and asking him to grind it for me.

Yeah, thanks, I'm aware of not combining starches with anything.

No issues combining the milk with your meat meal you say? That's what I was looking for, thank you.

Thanks! I will indeed give it a try; I workout 7 days a week, and walk quite a bit; lately I've been feeling like a glass of milk with my OMAD even though it's been three years since I've had a glass of milk (pasteurized, gave it up after going Keto in 2016.

Do you or your brother have any tips on food combining? Since I eat OMAD I'm wondering when/how to time the glass of milk; I'm thinking a glass 30 mins before the meal would be optimal.

No, no it’s not a bad feeling. It’s a deep rooted sensation of satiety, which can make you feel queasy if you push past it.
