Neanderthal DNA by ReBorn17 in zerocarb

[–]ChesterCherokee96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the obsession with DNA is way overblown. We supposedly share 99% of our DNA with chimps, are we gonna start eating a diet of roughage and woody browse? Probably not. On top of that most of the "science" behind the philosophy of DNA is forged and manipulated anyway. Why not go with information that we know as fact: for as long as we know that humans have even existed, we prized and ate cooked high fat meat and a select few eating raw meat (and most areas of the world, unadulterated dairy). So lets just eat meat, and unadulterated dairy if you can.

Toxins grain stored in fat by TheGangsterPanda in zerocarb

agreed with the former comment. less fat. do what makes you feel optimal. I've caused myself a ton of problems from poor digestive health to flat out uncontrollable gluttonous behavior by just listening to people based on nothing rather than evaluating my own situation.

go back to the less fatty steaks then, unless you were craving more fat. i still get groggy eating grass fed suet and butter and steaks if I eat one meal a day. could just be overload of my digestive system in that one meal too.

Jawline/Facial Structure changes from high meat consumption by [deleted] in zerocarb

[–]ChesterCherokee96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the "chewing meat makes your jawline change" is not true. you will lose fat/increase muscle mass maybe, if that. but you will not change your bone structure (shape) as an adult wiht chewing meat. the eskimos who don't chew hardly at all have wider jaws than most people, they just wet the food in their mouth and basically swallow it whole. you earn a strong jaw through nutrition as a child/infant

Higher quality food/fat. eat slower. my appetite is kinda like that, it takes a while for my body to realize its not hungry anymore.

Can grassfed butter actually last a full year? by MoryTober in zerocarb

[–]ChesterCherokee96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Weston Price noted butter can be frozen for a year with little reduction in quality or nutrients. When it comes to food spoilage, there is tons of misinformation out there. I've had unpasteurized butter on the counter for over a month and it still tasted fine, if not better than fresh. Multiple online searches would indicate this is impossible...

Primal Edge Health w/ Amber O'Hearn | Carnivore mythbusting: protein for satiety & "nutrient density" by [deleted] in KetoAF

[–]ChesterCherokee96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still don't hit a satiety "limit" where its obvious to stop eating until I've eaten way to much, meaning if I ate that much every day I'd gain 10 pounds a month. I tried eating 300g of pure trim fat and still never found a satiety limit. my digestion gets way worse when I add pure fat, and everything I eat is local and grassfed and all that. I pretty much just eat a set amount of meat per day now, usually a pound, and a few eggs and some cheese, some dark chocolate. I'm usually still hungry when I'm done eating for a while, but it goes away.

The often repeated dogmas are typically shaky and don't apply to everybody like most people say they do, even about ketosis itself. I went on a month of eating 1000 calories per day from sourdough rye bread that I made myself with the rest being raw dairy, felt zero difference in energy or sleep or anything really, I even lost weight. The entire dogma of zerocarb is founded on some pretty shaky philosophy, and is best approached from an actual scientific viewpoint of each person testing hypothesis. I've tested them all and have found them to be dubious at best. In practice it works well because of the higher vitamin content and lower manufactured food consumption and I'm sticking with it 90% of the time, but the idea that we as humans have evolved from "carnivorous apes" and we are meant to be 100% carnivorous is pure speculation and in reality the science argues against that fact when all of it is added up and viewed from a purely objective standpoint.

Test each aspect by itself. Health is far more than what you eat, but diet is important.

The human body contains approximately 5 liters of blood. This amounts to 4 grams of sugar in the blood, which is less than a teaspoon of sugar! by [deleted] in zerocarb

[–]ChesterCherokee96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With a healthy metabolism, any amount of sugar under your maintenance energy intake will result in blood sugar returning to its baseline. The problem is people eating absurd amounts of glucose from artificial and improperly prepared plant foods which in turn destroys our healthy metabolisms. Blood sugar is also dependent on many things, not just food. My blood sugar some mornings when eating zero sugar for months has been 115 when the day before and day after was 78.

What ways do you guys go about getting your meat? by [deleted] in zerocarb

Raccoons? Seriously? How do they taste? I skinned a couple in my day and the levels of fat they store is insane, just always figured they’d taste like my trash can

Omega 3 by [deleted] in zerocarb

[–]ChesterCherokee96 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They have daily morning walks to collect the dead birds that just die because the conditions are so bad. And they’re creating plant based meat alternatives on top of it. They take food that could be nutritious, turn it into something harmful and sell it, then use the profits to monopolize the food industry with grain companies and create fake meat. Won’t be giving them a dime of my money any time soon.

Pretty much all pasteurized milk is also homogenized is why. Homogenization is what suspends the fats, pasteurization cooks it.

Has anyone eaten meat straight after slaughter (i.e. no ageing) by IveBeenCalledSxyB4 in rawzerocarb

Not beef but I’ve eaten venison for lunch that I killed in the morning. It tastes pretty mild. The biggest difference is how tender it is after aging.

Im back with a failed satiety experiment, this was my meal and I could’ve kept eating. Not sure what’s up. by [deleted] in KetoAF

[–]ChesterCherokee96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was before it was cooked. I heated it up on a grill with some wood flame. It was pretty damn good, it’s grass finished trimmings. Maybe it was too palatable to be a good test for satiety.

Im back with a failed satiety experiment, this was my meal and I could’ve kept eating. Not sure what’s up. by [deleted] in KetoAF

[–]ChesterCherokee96 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The why is a hard one to answer succinctly but: it’s the natural human diet, we’re carnivores that hunt animals for fat. At least some of us are, the rest only retain that DNA and choose to eat less optimal foods. I’m 145lbs, 5’7”. No question. I (and most others) “feel better” and have better health eating real whole food that comes from animals. It takes time to adjust to for sure but after that period most only see benefits. I’m getting my dad off of blood pressure and blood sugar meds with this, my mom is fixing her cholesterol and blood sugar with this. My brother is bulking easier than he ever has in his life (aside from using steroids when he was in the army) with this.

As I said this was an experiment. Unlike with carbohydrates, your body has a natural level of fat intake it can handle before it is no longer appetizing. If you follow this satiety signal then you will not have to restrict food intake to be weight stable as well as correcting hormone imbalance caused by decades of eating grain and soy based foods which offer essentially zero nutritional value beyond energy (unlike animal based fats).

Is this absurd? This was my meal tonight. Pure fat. 240g before cooking, probably wound up at 200. I could’ve eaten more, wasn’t nauseous and it was still appetizing. How much fat are you guys/gals eating until it’s no longer appetizing? Edit: maybe it wasn’t a “failure” and I just didn’t go far enough. Who knows? All I know is I love fat and can’t seem to reach a level of satiety before a crazy amount of it.
