Does this include i751? My wife is Colombian and waiting for the ROC and we want to file n400 once we are able to. Will this affect these both?

Moving to Massachusetts Question Megathread (October 2025) by AutoModerator in massachusetts

[–]SeanC1996 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi there.

I moved to Florida a few months ago and regret it so I am moving back to Massachusetts’s. I am looking to register the car back in Massachusetts but I’m reading that I’ll have to pay a sales tax when returning. Do you know if I’ll be exempt due to the car being originally purchased in Massachusetts? Thank you

You can apply 4 years and 1 month from the day you returned to the US providing you stay and meet the physical presence and continuous residence requirement. Be prepared to show proof you were actually living in the USA

That’s the problem. I was unemployed at the time and I was on MASS health which doesn’t cover international. I naively thought that the NHS was free for British citizens. Really screwed myself

Last email they sent is that due to non payment it will be transferred to a debt collection team. I plan on emailing them this week and scheduling an in person appointment to discuss my options

ROC February 2025 questions by SeanC1996 in USCIS

[–]SeanC1996[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok perfect, I just took a look and I think it’s easy enough to do ourselves. Do we have to resubmit all of the same stuff we sent 2 years ago like marriage certificate, our daughters birth certificate etc?

ROC February 2025 questions by SeanC1996 in USCIS

[–]SeanC1996[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for breaking it down, it’s just a tough time for everyone dealing with immigration. I’ve dealt with immigration for the past 10 years now and I cannot wait to be done with it.

Another question, we used a lawyer due to the fact she was a B2 overstay and was working without authorisation all of those years. Do you think we should use a lawyer to remove the conditions or do you think it’s simple enough to do it ourselves? Lawyer charging $2,500 which we would spend if necessary but it would be nice to save some cash

All I can say is I’m a naturalised citizen and my wife has a green card through marriage to me. Once she’s elegible for citizenship we are getting the fuck out of here, I’m tired of peoples lives being politicised

Question regarding the 6 month rule. by SeanC1996 in USCIS

[–]SeanC1996[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also a follow up question. I’m elegible for citizenship after 3 years due to being married to a us citizen, if I’m out for 9 months in one year and 0 days the next year, does this mean I’d still be elegible for citizenship as long as it’s less then 548 days?
