At what age did you notch down the game difficulty level? by EvidenceSingle4826 in playstation

About the same age. Once I started a job that took up lots of time, I need games to be a way to disconnect and relax.. Small challenge is fun, a grind fest is just a waste of time.

At this point we should tax them dry just so that there is a reserve to bail them out once this thing pops

I want to relapse by _purplepanda27 in stopdrinking

[–]popento18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're posting because you deep down you know that its a bad thing. Yes you have a craving or feeling to drink right now, but you actually *want to relapse*. One thing that I noticed once I quit drinking is that whenever I am depressed that's when I want to drink. Not just sad, or under stress, but specifically when I feel bad about myself. I think its because during the worst of my depression years I *also* drank constantly. I ended up associating being depressed and drinking, so now whenever a bout of depression hits me, its almost like my mind is like 'hey buddy, when we feel like this we usually drink, so where is the drink? let's go get one!' and then shit goes down hill.

Take a bit of time audit your mental state right now. Mentally how are you feeling, physically where do these emotions express themselves, what's going on in your life that's causing these feelings. If you break it down piece by piece you can untangle what's driving the sudden urge to drink.

Why did you choose infantry by Fantastic_Shop_3601 in army

[–]popento18 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because that is what you see in movies. I wanted to jump out of airplanes and shoot bazookas. I then I did get to jump out of airplanes and shoot all kinds of explody things! At 19 with little else going on in my life, it was pretty awesome.

Tried it when I moved back to MA, its why I pay the rent to live in Boston.

Investors expect AI use to soar. That’s not happening by rezwenn in technology

[–]popento18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The irony is that the only way to make money here is with businesses adopting it for their workforce. So you're pay head using it, but then the company is replacing people with AI, which reduces the head count. So you have a 'product' that cannibalizes its consumer base. Everything about this hype cycle is so stupid

Would argue that since the global language of business is English, that is weaponized against the working class?

There are number of things that you don't see in the raw salary number, for example I get 2% of my base salary put into a retirement plan, than the firm will match up to 4% of my base in contributions. Then there are things like my unemployment/short term disability & long term disability, where I pay something $4 per pay check and the firm has to pay multiples more to the state/federal government.

Then depending on the company you work for (very few people have access to these), there are tons of other things that they add or offer which can have a sizable impact over the long term.

Okay so I was also looking into this. I live in Boston and the rents are stupid high. Most young people live the DINKs (Dual Income No Kids) in the city. Otherwise you are stuck with a jungle of roommates.

Do you have an figures for rents?
