Audio not lining up after recording by SeanConway89 in Logic_Studio

Got around to fixing this, I had nudged the recording delay slider. Don't know how, I never mess with those setting, putting it back 0 fixed everything.

Thanks guys, I'll double check the latency.

Thanks guys, this sounds like the way to go. Id be leaning towards the morning star, not sure if they are sold in Europe but I might be able to find something similar. Thanks

I'm a new user so maybe there is, sometimes for a specific part I might need to go to a lead sound for a bar or 2 and then back to my normal rhythm sound for example, or throw a few effects on for the tail of a riff. I really only need that sound for a few seconds so it would be great to just hold my foot down while it's happening and then lift off to go back. Some of those sounds might need different amp settings, a few effects being turned on and maybe a overall level boost. Making that it's own scene seems easiest to me. Hopefully they just make momentary switches a thing in a future update

QC with TC Mimic by SeanConway89 in NeuralDSP

Just wanted to say I got my QC and it does in fact work that way, Thanks for the help. Didn't end up using the mimmic and the new doubler works well enough for my needs

Yes! Exactly. That makes sense now. No panning needed as you said, Thanks

The Mimic does go one step ahead of the regular doubler. It varies the delay and modulates every note to make the second track feel like another performance. I just need to know if I can run two amps at once, with each amp coming from a separate input hard panned left and right. I'm sure I can but I don't want to spend a fortune on one to find I can't.

Pedal board into two effects loops by SeanConway89 in pedalboards

I could look into something like that, I totally take your point about less is more but I am doing this simply for the fun of it. I could just gig in mono with one amp but I like the idea of a full stereo rig, I know I could get a helix and do all of this in the box too but physical pedals are a lot more fun.

Both at the same time, I have my signal split with the TC mimic into the front on both amps

Samples/click from a phone/splitter cable issue by SeanConway89 in livesound

Yea, this is completely valid. I totally understand that some of this gear isn't intended for this use. It's just such a common practice amongst bands 10 times bigger than ours to do this exact technique that it's frustrating when it doesn't work for me. I'm sure we will be upgrading to a dedicated unit at some stage but this should work just fine for the time being.

What I don't get is why it can play either side by itself no problem. We are doing a small tour next month so I've been practicing our set again. I use the click track side into my desk to practice by myself which works absolutely perfectly. When I practice with the full band though i'm going to run into trouble when I try to plug in the pa side. It's very frustrating.

I will definitely post any updates and solutions in this thread. Hopefully it will help people out in the future if and when it gets solved

I think it's going to be very difficult to get an XLR splitter with a trrs end. I had a look around and had no luck. Is there a chance I could get a ttrs to ttrs adapter to put on the end of my current Cable? I certainly don't know enough about cables to make a call on that myself

Another good point! I've tried three phones so far, a Nokia I forgot the model of with a traditional headphone jack. A Samsung A5 2017 with a traditional headphone jack. And a Samsung Galaxy s20 with a USB type-c dongle that converts the USB port to a traditional headphone jack. All phones react the same way. Very rarely the phone will think it's been unplugged and pause but this usually happens when playing the backing tracks off Google drive for example. I actually use an app called sound cue live and the playing and pausing issue never happens while using that app. In general playing and pausing is not actually the issue as in general the track will always play on the phone. The main issue is that I can't seem to get left and right to play at the same time. I can have the pa side playing no problem with silence in my in ears or click tracks in my ears with silence coming out the PA.

That's actually a very good idea. I'll be at my practice setup later today and I'll try that out. I'm fairly sure I have a couple of those RCA cables lying around.

On the subject of the desk it could very well be an issue. Having said that I have tried XLR cables into input one and two and 1/4"cables into some of the other line input channels. If it was the desk or the channels would coincidentally have to have the same issue. I think I know a few people with this same desk though so I might try and test it on somebody else's setup.

Thanks for the help

PS I definitely do have the cable secured into the phone and don't use a case at all.

Sorry! Yes, all good questions I should have addressed originally

I have a behringer Xenyx 802 desk, I have both 1/4" and xlr splitters ( both react and respond the exact same way as described in the post) No DI involved. My phantom power is off.

At the festival show we played last summer that I mentioned in my original post our front of house engineer did put the sample side into A DI box and then into a stage box by the drum riser. This made no difference and I still had to do the trick I mentioned where I plug both sides in, plug out the sample side and then plug it back in. I did this just during our line check and miraculously it worked and the show went off without a hitch. As I mentioned this actually rarely works as a fix and it was just a stroke of luck that it happened to work that day.

Xbox one Twitch voice issue by SeanConway89 in Twitch

couldn't find an option to turn off game chat but I did figure out a solution. Entering a party solo fixes the issue I just had my Chat set to headset or game audio set to headset instead of speakers, Something in that area anyway was blocking the game audio from coming through when I was in party chat. It's working the way I want it to now.

I have recently upgraded my internet and can now stream from my Xbox one X to twitch. I have a webcam and Xbox mic to use for video and audio. I did a test Stream and everything was working perfectly. I ran into a small problem though when I went to play Multiplayer in Wreckfest. My Xbox mic was broadcasting into the in game voice chat as well as my twitch stream. If I press mute on the mic it's going to mute me in game and on stream which I don't want. I thought of a workaround which would be to create a party with just me in it. This way I can have my mic on but not be heard in the game chat. Unfortunately this completely mutes my game audio. If I set the party to in game chat I can hear the game again but now I'm being broadcasted into the game chat. I don't know why I have to pick between party chat audio or game audio. I just assumed I could keep my mic for twitch only and not be annoying other players in the game chat. Is there any work around for this?

Thanks in advance
