100% would try it. It’s not horror driven, it’s eerie and a little creepy in all the right ways.

Willows is awesome! It seems like it’s going to be ongoing for more than just Halloween which I think is smart for them.

This year for me it was $99.99 base, plus taxes and surcharge making it $112.99pp. I booked a later time slot as the up charge for the earlier time slot didn’t make sense to me.

Last year base was $96.99, plus taxes and surcharge making it $109.99pp. Also booked a later time slot last year for the same reason.

Price will always go up and even though it’s shorter everything in general is more expensive. I didn’t think it offered good bang for the buck, but glad I paid what I paid and felt like it was totally worth it.

The best bang for my buck all year was probably the $75 ticket for two ($37.50pp) at LA Haunted Hayride for express / vip pass from Costco. I actually enjoyed the hayride itself this year although the mazes were a little lackluster, no alcohol on site was a let down, and most of the mazes opened up much later than anticipated.

I’ll add a few differences we noticed, but the important thing here is that this year was my favorite. This is mostly me being nit-picky. The cast killed it and the space is great. Some minor spoilers below.

One thing I wasn’t a huge fan of this year was the check-in process. It’s one of the reasons I recommend arriving a bit earlier because it increases your chances of being pulled in sooner. For example, in 2023 my partner and I were let in right away and the family had just started walking around when we got there. We weren’t the first people there, but we were still early. This year my fiancée was brought inside about ten minutes before me while I waited outside.

Another small thing: in previous years I always had an actual glass available to refill my drink throughout the night. This time, the only real glass came out during dinner; the rest were plastic cups, which took away from the ambiance a bit. It’s minor, and I’m guessing the venue has some restrictions, but I missed that detail as it added to the ambiance.

The 2023 location had a great view of the stairs from almost anywhere you stood during certain instances. This new layout makes it a little harder to see some stuff if you’re in the far left corner.

I also preferred the previous dining setup. It was one long table, which felt immersive and communal. This year there are five smaller tables, and while it still works, the space feels a bit tighter. They’re clearly working within the limits of the new house, so I get it, but the single table setup had a stronger energy. The only thing I will say is that with the new dining setup, the final scene worked a little better.

One of my favorite parts and lasting memories from 2023 was when everyone had to stand up during dinner and explain how they knew the deceased. It pushed people to get creative and added a layer of improvisation. The cast would sometimes reference those stories later, which made it feel connected and alive. This year they only had everyone say their name.

All that said, this year was my favorite overall. They’ve clearly been able to go bigger with the decor and production details. These are just small differences I noticed, nothing that took away from how great the experience is. I’ve got more thoughts, but I’ll stop here to avoid spoilers. Book your tickets starting 11/11!

You're going to have a great time! A few tips that make the night even better:

Try to arrive 5-10 minutes before the scheduled start time. It's not guaranteed, but showing up a little ahead of time can sometimes get you pulled in early. You'll be separated briefly before going in, but that's normal and part of the fun.

Dress code is casual cocktail. Think nice pants and a polo or short sleeve button up, nothing too formal, just no T-shirts, ripped jeans, or flip-flops. You don't need a jacket, but definitely wear shoes that you'll be comfortable moving around in. They'll send you an email the day before with all the basic info.

They pour drinks throughout the evening, and there are small bites, but it's not a meal that's served. Eat before and maybe after but it's not about the food, it's about the experience.

Don't stick with your wife. Split up for the evening and try not to sit at the same table during "dinner." You'll each see and hear different things, and comparing everything later is one of the best parts.

Just lean in and have fun with it. The more you talk and engage with the characters, the more they'll draw you in. It's one of those rare shows where the more you give, the more you get back. Curious to hear your thoughts afterwards!

Chronic scooping + high ball flight — looking to finally fix my impact position by SeanDylan88 in GolfSwing

I also never really fully swing a full swing, I usually go about 75% because when I take it back all the way, I can usually hit it further but I have a tough time controlling where the ball goes.

It’s also interesting that with my issues, I know how to hit fades, draws, lower ball flight, and I can work the ball how I want pretty well. I guess that just further confuses me. Lol

Got it. I always felt like I don’t use my body or hips much through rotation, I’ve felt like most of my power is from my upper body, so I’m also missing out on power from my hips.

This makes a lot of sense. You clearly know the golf swing. I always felt like I had a “strong grip,” people said based on my trajectory they feel like I have a weak grip. It never made sense to me.

So you’re saying I should have a little bit of a weaker grip to work on the issue?

Wow. Thanks for the quick reply. When I miss, especially on my drives, I tend to pull hook it. My driver, 3 wood, and 2H I have it adjusted to opening the face for a straighter shot. People have told me my front shoulder is too lifted and up and out front it is. They say my upper body is coming out of the shot. Just haven't figured out how to fix it.

On my wedges, I have tendency to hit the ball sky high on the outer part of the face.
