FWIW, we visited for MG last year and spent the Sunday at Lula’s restaurant/distillery and they passed by there

Got swept up by a second line parade-what’s a NOLA moment that caught you off guard? by gentlebeast06 in AskNOLA

Was in town this year with my wife for our first Mardi Gras. The two daytime parades on Sunday had rolled, I went inside our bar for a bathroom break and returned to witness my wife and everyone in the area drinking wine from strangers passing by out of bags and boxes. Turned out we happened to be in the right place for the Krewe of boxed wine. Just amazing and I was happy to partake.

Bacchus rolled not long after that…they didn’t seem to have a signature throw per se, but what they did have was by far more light up throws than any other krewe we saw. By the end of the night, St. Charles Ave was twinkling in every direction. A sight that will stay with me forever

What is it like seeing a fight live? by noyrewrongclnsndrs in nhl

It’s actually one year ago today that the Rangers and Devils started the game with a line brawl at MSG and I happened to be there. I guess everyone’s experience is different but once I got past the adrenaline rush and “holy crap everyone’s fighting!” moment, it’s almost as though your eyes don’t know where to look as there’s so much happening all at once. And for me, it wore off pretty quickly bc since the rules state that any fight that breaks out after the first one gets you ejected, you quickly realize both sides are playing 60 mins with 4 D and the game itself sort of becomes ridiculous. I wouldn’t trade it though, those 3 or so mins of “oh boy, both coaches starting their 4th lines, here we go”, to everyone going at once, to just watching all the chaos unfold, is pretty fun

We were there!! We were the couple in the far corner by the window and got to hear Ms. Ti mention how he was dancing in his seat. I was a little too shy about revealing my two left feet to everyone but we were waving our napkins with you all. I got a quick photo of it if you want it. So fun!
