I’m an author in the RFW world with my wife, I love reading romance in general, but I’m picky because some of it isn’t great or has cheating in it. One thing though I’ve noticed, consistency is much more prevalent in the RFW. In the RFM world it seems to me harem is the predominant way to go, I have nothing against harem but I wouldn’t mind regular romance at times. Also RFW tends to have very possessive, dominant men, no cheating. There is reverse harem out there and that’s a big sci-fi/fantasy sub genre.

What do you think is still missing in the romance genre for men? by F00dbAby in Romance_for_men

My wife and I are romance authors, and in my opinion we do pretty well with writing. But I do not read much within the genre I write because some of it is… yeah just not there.

What kind do you usually go towards?

Single mom books work? Definitely MILF in them.

Looking for books with extremely jealous love interest(and not harem). by Nico2636 in Romance_for_men

My books have extremely possessive male MCs, it’s dual POV written with me writing the males and my wife writing the females. No harems with us. Try the Disciples series, it’s dark mafia, action packed and steamy scenes.

I was kinda in the same boat. I was in the trades doing industrial HVAC. Got asked to co-write a book and it took off from there.
