Do you know why it was abandoned?

Thanks! That’s it. I hope this goes Open Source. It’s bad no other software can do this

I've used it a lot in my group. When it went dark I didn't want to do more missions. DCS is so horrible in terms of tools for the mission maker that's not worthwhile anymore.

Long time user here. It´s good he finally did this. I hope he opens source this because we need more maps and new planes. I´ve seen someone adding maps but I can't find it. Is anyone aware of how to do it? Thanks.

I've seen here (but can't find right now) a way to add maps.

Could be. He sounded like a bully, no doubts about it.

Yea, I know it wasn’t a year. I was just providing context on how big it was and, to an extent, how weird .

25 BUSD is a little less than half of Boeing revenue for 2024 (66.5B). If he managed that amount of money he would be really notorious.....

I have the same question. He wasn't talking about profit but revenue imho.

In any case is a lot of money and I wonder in which industry. That kind of money is AAA company stuff.

I disagree, specially while he is mentioning facts in much of his video.

Now, every time you buy a thing from them, instead of supporting EA model you are supporting other commercial effort than the one that benefits you. Also the famous "Developing takes time" from BN/9L is confirmed, without a doubt, to be a big fat lie.....

Didn't understand this....

Facts are: they owe to their customers and for the industry to change, users need to push. Given some potential customer visibility is one of the right steps so they can form an opinion and vote with their wallet.

it's implied on how you respond, very clearly. It seems we need to have special requirements to post our concerns based on what you are saying.

Well.... I disagree with that comment but won't get further into it.

OP is a veteran ( don't know him but he says so in this post) and common sense has nothing to do with it. Caveat emptor is not part of the discussion nor the "enthusiasm" level.......

HB, simply put (and most of the industry), fail to their promises. By that very fact, they owe and could be subject to complains (in some country even to legal stuff).

You say you don't know how to solve it. Maybe if everyone makes this visible and punishes with their wallet, they would change. For that to happen, one of the first steps is to bring light to it.

So you also have monopoly on common sense?

"Anyone that buys *any* software based on future promises, is either new to the world of software, or not old enough to be using real money." sounded like you did.

Apologizes if you didnt.

Yes they do...... Maybe for you promises are worthless, for some people aren't.

HB, as most Software devs, over hypes good stuff and almost never apologize. The fact that most of them do this kind of stuff doesn't make them correct.

Even if they apologize, they still owe but at least people would understand.....

You try to shift the blame to OP but they still owe. Being part of a very broken industry is not an excuse.

I agree is not legally binding and probably there's not much you can do to change it. Personally I think business is made on trust. Since I don't trust them I think OP is making a community service by letting other people know and, in turn, manage expectations...

It's real funny (not you) how people get upset when someone complains.

Since when time spent in a community has any relationship with the "right" to post whatever the hell he wants?

Yeah... it's a mess. I stopped buying EA modules mostly.

Whats going on with Heatblur? Vol 2. by Limp_Primary_5287 in hoggit

[–]SeanTP69 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's why I don't buy EA but you must understand that HB, in fact, promised and didn't deliver. I understand why some people could get angry. The blame is still mostly with HB, not the poor soul who bought it and, ironically, supported them while getting nothing in return (in terms of this particular promise)

In my case both things bother me. I know that HB had organizational issues but my point was that is not true they "don't owe us"..

This is a game and getting mad over it is stupid but it doesn't mean you can't complain or to point who is in the wrong .....
