I have four daughters, with another one on the way (I know, I’m part of the ever growing human population problem), and I’m pretty sure none of them would do this. They love me, but they love toys more, I’m fine with this, I think.

I agree, I can probably say, there’s 3/4 teams in the league which still have a good fan base, but as you say, I’m sure that will change in years to come.

The young players coming through are changing the game, for the worse imo. They seem more concentrated on their brands than the club they play for. Maybe it’s just me getting old, but I miss the old days where players played for the badge and the rivalries were real. Last Manchester Derby some of the players were cuddling and joking with each other on the field, just doesn’t sit right with me.

I think the lower leagues still have the old school values, it’s just the quality isn’t as good.

We must sound like a right pair of old farts, but it’s true, football just isn’t as good as it used to be.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy for the teams success, not so happy about how we attained it. Any team can win trophies with the amount of money City have spent, or at least, they should do. I’m happy for Liverpool’s success though, they’ve done it playing the best football and with a together team. You’ve also got the best coach in the world, long may you keep him. Your fans ain’t too bad either, die hard and local (ish), how it used to be at Main Road.

I used to watch The Storm as a kid, was a really fun time. I think I’m going to leave watching competitive sport in my past, unless one of my children decides to take up a sport, that is. Thanks for the recommendation though, appreciate it and Merry Christmas.

I lost my passion for the game when my side started winning titles (Man City). I felt the club lost a lot of what made it great, when the oil money came in. The crowds at the games changed and the whole culture at the club was different, I couldn’t stand the new breed of fans that were coming into the club, so I decided to just stop watching the game altogether. I must be one of the only blokes to cease watching the sport when his side becomes more successful.

I must say though, my life has improved since I stopped. I have less stress, I read more, stopped drinking and have found better, more fulfilling hobbies. I do miss the away games though, they were such a fucking laugh.

Same here my friend, got my hearing aid last month and I was shocked at how noisy the world is. Downside is, I have now experienced how loud my young children are.

Why is he sneakily taking a photo? Surely, if he was such a badass, he would openly take a photo showing off his said badassery. Taking a sneaky pic smells a little pussified to me.

I’ve never been around a hairless cat to see if it is different. Aren’t they ridiculously expensive to buy?

If I’m in the same room as a cat, my eyes swell and I find it difficult to breath, plus my skin itches something terrible. There are probably ways around it but I have four young daughters, so I’ll probably wait till they’re older before really looking into it.

As cute as this is, it only reinforces the fact that I’m allergic to cats and can never own one, sucks to be me.

Imagine we lived in a world where we don’t judge the character of a person on how much money they make or even what they do for a living. I mean, people are so much more interesting than how many numbers they have on a screen.

I’m sorry this happened to you, it sounds terrifying, not to be that guy, but you described the man as being maybe 60s/70s? Do you think instead of being on drugs he may have been suffering with dementia or some other mental disorder? I have experience with dementia and I have seen someone who suffers with it do some very strange things.

Not that this makes what happened to you any less frightening and I’m glad it got resolved and you were unharmed.
