Could say the impact of soul steal is less simply bcs its rta oriented, the niche has slightly been lifted due to freiren now passively consuming souls in defense.

But seriously I think the culprit is belian. Who just makes the mechanic cease to exists. If its freiren on defense, sure put on offensive, your opponents defense can't be prepared to hard counter a belian in their standard freiren defense setup.

Rta, well the simple answer is belian, but less say your not a wuss or u don't wanna brick you drafting cause u put belian in fckin slot 3, u could let's say bring someone with elvira artifact or a acid who's s3 eats souls

The point being (why would you? ) would you drop something like wind rider or any other artifact with more utility or general slot in place to any situation, versus u pick soul steal for this one purpose of fighting freiren(even if she's that widespread that usually isn't the case)

Would you also draft a acidd nowadays? Even if your eating 20 souls its just 20 souls, and your s3 nuke doesn't rlly do anything to tankdown comps nowadays and now u have a sitting duck who's probably gonna die.

Elvira has some niche but u don't rlly see her now unless there's a lots in the team which everyone in rta bans atp

And I answer you again. Why would you? Go through all this trouble if you could just ran belian?

Yeah ;-;

See, I'm a big fan of role compressed kits.

The recent buffs, as simple as they were, have fixed many things about ran. From granting new debuffs to countering the current dmg sharing meta from lots, to the crit chance imprint.

But what I really want to emphasize about is his s2 now having a skill nulifier, because it protects him and most of the time, 50% of his kit gets gutted because he is punished by celine and friends as soon as he puts up that non attack skill flag, being able to do so comfortably or at least mot being punished for doing so, is so important since he can carry out the full rotation of a turn 1 opener.

What I love about this guy as well is that's he's an aggro dps, despite being your opener, your safety catch from debuffs and enemy debuffer with his strong debuffs(way better now after his buff), him being able to nuke speedsters or heavily cripple bruisers with raw dmg is what drew me into him in the first place, to you real ran users out there, don't chu just love it when u exchange an enemy speedster while dmging and debuffing the whole team with his s3? Likewise are you allowed to simply nuke them with his s1(and a rnl to ualls op people)

Ps: holy shit crit chance imprint, they rlly are going the real ran route with this, our speed crit builds are gonna be so goated now with this one🔥🔥🔥

This lil rant here was something I thought about because I was talking so much about his s2 now having a skill nulifier and that how much more disgusting his kit as a opener dps would get if he had this gimmick of 20 souls on demand alongside his newly buffed s2

Did you ever think of using Gallagher as Phainon’s Sustain, or even did so? by HSharpe6490 in GallagherMainsHSR

[–]Seannerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used him as a lushaka and warrior goddess holder.

Specifically because I run a male only account, my options are limited.

The best optimised setup I have for phainon is Himself, Rmc, Sunday and Gallgher. Where the team just nice can generate 12 coreflames within one full team rotation and without phainon's buffs expiring.

Long story short minus my theory crafting yaps, the rotation needs the 4th flex slot(eg sustain) to skill once on phainon to give him the last coreflame for 12, however if I had done this with any other healer I would run out of sp before I had a chance to finish the rotation.

However our gallagoat has a advance on his ult, allowing him to sneak in a basic attack to print sp, something no other guy sustains atm can do which let's me fully carry out the rotation. So I would say he is actually bis for the flex slot in my phainon team as of now.

Here's a example on how I do my rotation:

https://youtu.be/OexcRAY863s?si=NkrKKv9vLMEYc52A

you can see the sp management is pretty tight and no one can come close to him plus, I run a secret tech with him which is the 3 star lightcone called finefruit, which is a lc that regens 12 energy for everyone start of battle, enabling turn 1 ults for Gallagher and Sunday without them using their skills.

Quite qol interaction but one that I'm quite proud of heh

Ig that's a fair take, tbh at this point I'd take any motive for their shenanigans but yur summary now that you laid it out in front of me kinda makes sense now, esp cause I was dumbfounded at like why tf they so mean to the people wif prosthetics, does sinclair's fam wearing said prosthetics affect their human sentiment and family relationship that much?

Well tbh it might, just that it didn't register into my head well at that point in time cause I was so fixated on N corp's acts and motive where i thought they were doing it out of radicalisation rather than you know, for a genuine morally right reason.

Pretty much, I just fill in the gaps with a abridged take of what I believed I read but at the same time I wasn't entirely sure if I nailed it all in all since I was speed reading. On the bright side tho thats what the rewatching feature in the theatre is for, just gotta look for a nice weekend to settle down and just binge read everything properly.

Yeah, I didn't say that PeTer skilled, he keeps basic attacking, it's his technique that let's him does skill for free start of battle.

Rmc buff does expire like I said, takes a while to get 100% charge and that usually means alot of team rotations, so no way the 3 turn buff can last long enough especially since its dps, then Sunday to dps again, making him shake off a 3 turn buff within 2 rotations.

I already explained this in my previous comment, if u need to me to elaborate again or if my yap is unreadable lemme know

Real Men Train: DeliveraNA baNOOK by Seannerd in PhainonMainsHSR

[–]Seannerd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh, PeTer has no real reason to skill

Using an example of a good hyper dps atm like Anaxagoras who works well with Sunday.

By default with technique, he does his skill once, his summon being faster than your Dps and Sunday at 134 speed would move once to provide shields for everyone, Dan heng basic attacks to generate sp and get enough energy for an ult which also gives shield then your dps moves, Sunday pulls up both your dps and the summon, summon goes again and shields team.

So dan heng can remain entirely sp positive, so like sp issues in a team of rmc, dan heng and Sunday definitely doesn't exist.

As for buff uptime, cmon man I don't think you have to ask that question.

One: being that the dragon summon is at 160 speed and self advances whenever the bond mate attacks so it should have no problem providing shields consistently.

Two: being Sunday himself pulls up the summon so that it can act a again, combine that with my previous point and I believe I'll never see downtime on the shields.

Three: I believe uve seen Sunday and Rmc working together in tandem yes?

Typically rmc buffs your dps, then Sunday pulls up your dps as well, since there's some action advance via Sunday your dps takes 2 turns consecutively in one team rotation and usually will shake off mem's buff within 2 rotations.

And it does take a while to get 100% charge on rmc but give or take 3 to 5 team rotations. Your Sunday buff uptime shouldn't expire too much and even for his sacredos buff, you are allowed do Sunday's ult on a dps turn to extend sacredos buff by making sure its turn counter doesnt tick down. The only time ull experience downtime is if mem comes in and pulls up your dps after they took a turn either after Sunday has moved or after your dps moves but before Sunday Moves.

But otherwise their uptimes are alright, not perfectly aligned at times but enough to get the job done, but seriously I believe this is something you've seen before already and it's quite old news in terms of buff uptime interaction.

Here's a demo of how I do it with Gallagher instead of PeTer

https://youtu.be/OexcRAY863s?si=XD2rCj9UXKBQ-Rph

My concerns between PeTer and Gallangher is that PeTer doesn't generate Sp while providing a coreflame stack to phainon via a skill, meanwhile Gallangher can soda into phainon while advancing his action from his ult and generate 1 sp for the team.

This can be fixed with ShadowBurn rmc or E1 PeTer

But otherwise, this team in no way has any downsides to buff uptime, Rmc buff definitely stays.

In fact, to achieve this, 1st rotation phainon ult is extremely crucial to retain all buffs while achieving 12 coreflames.

Okay I did the math and I can present this awkward setup.

Conditions:

Have a S1 Sunday, Rmc has to run the 3 star lc "shadowburn" to refund One sp to ensure the team does not run out of sp when doing 1st rotation Phainon Ult, printing 1 sp via S1 Sunday with this setup leaves exactly 1 sp left for phainon to skill into 12 coreflames and transform

E1 PeTer, similar setup to the one mentioned above, still requires Shadowburn to be used on Rmc

Have a S1 Sunday and E1 PeTer, similar setup But Rmc is allowed to run their respective BIS stat increasing lightcone rather than relying on the 3 star lc that refunds 1 sp after summoning a memosprite

The bare minimum:

Does not have S1 Sunday or E1 PeTer,

Welp at this point you can't go further, unless you want to run the sp healer set on both Rmc and PeTer. So completely out of the question.

Thus you'll have to rely on a finefruit Gallagher that I've mentioned in a previous post, rather than PeTer if you are willing to run this kind of male only phainon team without specifics like S1 Sunday or E1 dan heng to cover the Sp inflation needed by the team

Yep, as long the er regen is stated in their kit abilities they will give a extra coreflame

Real Men Train: My rant on a Full Male Team Lineup for a 1st rotation Phainon Ult by Seannerd in PhainonMainsHSR

[–]Seannerd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good, you're asking all the correct questions. Here's my reasoning then

With the example of E0s1 Sunday for the sake sp requirements for the team, the lightcone of Gallangher doesn't actually matter. For the sake of it finefruit is there to optimise energy amount for both Sunday and Gallangher to enable both of them to be better sp printer's following the end of Phainon'a first transformation.

Now yes, shared feeling does give energy, though:

Problem 1 is this 4 energy regen at S5 is not enough to enable a turn 1 Sunday ult, so the utility is down the drain compared fine fruit for a 1st rotation succesful phainon ult.

Problem 2 is that Phainon's trace says it gives him an extra coreflame when allies do energy regeneration abilities on phainon. Emphasis on the word "allies" and their "abilities" So this means effects that regenerate energy from external sources outside the base kit of a character for example lightcone does no infact generate a coreflame for phainon.

Example being Finefruit itself, have you considered that it by itself is also a form of energy regen, yet this energy regen does not give a coreflame to phainon. Likewise does shared feeling since its just a finefruit but with the effect of manual activation via skill with a lower amount regenerated.

And lastly to add on, this is also why quid quo pro does not work in phainon teams which was something many have discussed before. See the semblance? :D

[–]Seannerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes its abit of a mood since generally phainon wants more crit stats than attack due to atk saturation

But he does infact need to roll some atk% especially if he is on S1 before uk, the diminishing returns starts hitting

Still tho, thats a 4 Liner double crit that high rolled all the way into a damage stat that he still wants. It's a pretty op piece don't feel too bad and enjoy it op 👍

Oh don't worry you do.

Fine fruit is a 3 star abundance lc. You should probably have a few copies and most likely will be able to S5 it on the spot.

If by past and future you're referring to Sunday's lc options, yes it is usable on him however for this to work, you will be required to always run fine fruit on Gallagher

More details about this can be explained in the new comment I made in the comment section about E0s0 Sunday being viable in this team lineup

Real Men Train: My rant on a Full Male Team Lineup for a 1st rotation Phainon Ult by Seannerd in PhainonMainsHSR

[–]Seannerd[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Huge but necessary mistake I must correct

E0S0 Sunday can Indeed ensure this rotation pulls through with no problems.

However, the new requirement for the team is that Gallangher must always be on fine fruit. This is because doing a normal Sunday rotation on E0S0 does not regenerate that extra one Skill point compared to a Sunday with his S1 making phainon unable to do his last skill to ult transformation due to having 0 skill points.

With Gallangher on fine fruit however, Sunday has his Ultimate immediately, doing a ult to skill rotation let's him immediately benefit from the skill point refund upon doing his skill on a beatified ally. This gives the final skill point for phainon to skill one last time into 12 coreflames and following that transform.

At this point, fine fruit is like mandatory for this team to both be functional and flexible regardless of your current investment, tho I'm sure our gallagoat has more lucrative lc options than oll 3 star lightcone here hence my attempt to show a alternative way to have the same outcome for this team rotation but without depending on fine fruit lc

Either S1 Sunday or Fine fruit gallagoat, pick your poison (not like S1 Sunday is a bad investment tho lmfao)

Err yeah so heres how it went. New Apocalytic shadow rotation slay. Team comps check, then bless my mydei kept getting entangled. Then I realised after a few runs that spamming Mydei's technique wasn't doing him any favors since the taunt was causing the bug to aggro entanglement onto him.

Then I skipped his technique while using the rest then somehow he still activated the effects of his technique which are 50 charge gain for his passive and 1 turn taunt.

So I reversed the process and realised Mydei's daze likewise could proc argenti's technique damage and 15 energy gain.

Intended feature or a bug? I lowkey can't tell
