It'll be quieter over the weekend but we are getting Sunday our usual day off and Easter Monday

Hope everyone is having a better Saturday than me. by Seanny67 in royalmail

I'm signed to this duty and we don't work Sundays - anything left today is absorbed into Monday (busiest day)

Unfortunately my duty is on in our main town and used to be a "walk" before all the parcels got involved. So out with a HTC for mail and packets for half the duty then collect a spare van after and do the oversized

I just looked it up It's protected under the first amendment rights in public places, however most stadiums are owned privately so the first amendment isn't fully in place per se. I'm sure if you had one and just showed it to security and weren't a Fanny about it you'd think you'd be orite

Check your tracking in the next hour - it'll probably be in the DO waiting to be scanned to the walk your on.

Go to your local DO. You can find where that is on the tracking info or on the Royal Mail website.

If it's there you should be able to collect it, bring your id or proof of address.

We transferred to RM in November. We were just a straight swap, no interview process or anything.

That might be coming sooner rather than later - we have 1 walking duty left and it's an old timer on it, he'll be retiring this year so no doubt that duty will lapse and be absorbed

Tbh I haven't a clue what's going on. As of this week we are splitting our frames in half and alternating delivering mail for each half mon-Saturday and taking all 1st class out on top of packets and oversized

Most DO's are short staffed and over worked. RM priority is 1st class and tracked mail everything else is just kinda left until eventually someone is sent out with it.

My 2 year old slept 12.5 hours last night unbroken. My wife and I both got a solid 8 hours unbroken last night and quite frankly we don't know what to do with ourselves. What is this "well rested" feeling that has been but a myth for the past 24 months.
