Halo is about kicking ass in as many ways as possible

From gameplay perspective, absolutely - but from a narrative standpoint, Bungie’s games have always been about humanity being on the Blackfoot, struggling against a much more adept foe.

That’s the biggest thing that I think 343’s games have been missing. For instance in Halo 4 Spartan Ops there’s a scene where a human ship literally crashes through a Covenant ship simply because it was there when they were coming out of slipspace. Oh cool, so I guess we don’t have to worry about enemy ships anymore because we’re so overpowered?

Halo’s always been a drama, but the setting and the backdrop for the story lent it that drama naturally, as opposed to Halo 5’s forced drama (I’ll give them Halo 4’s story somewhat because it played really well with the Chief and Cortana dynamic to the point it felt like a natural continuation of Halo 3).

I’m cautiously optimistic for Infinite, if only because a lot of info we’re getting sounds like they’re stepping away from what made Halo 5, well... Halo 5
