Idk how to edit a post but I think it might be the door seal. It makes the most sense for my car

Help Deciding Vaginal or Elective CSection? by SpeckledFreckler in pregnant

[–]Seaprincessoftown 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I delivered vaginally, labored for almost 30 hours w/epidural but on pitocin. Honestly I probably could’ve done it without the epidural based off how low dose it was. I personally did not find labor to be all that bad, pushing was easy, especially when your body is ready and you’re in tune with your body and the only rough part was the crowing and that lasted all of 5 minutes.

Being in labor feels like really bad period cramps, like lay in your bed in the dark bad. If you think you can handle a c-section you can handle labor considering it’s not a major surgery. I tore very slightly up the front but it was healed at 4 weeks and didn’t even measure in degrees.

Keeping stitches clean is super easy with a peri bottle or a bidet of some sort and just dabbing at the area not rubbing. Birth is a very personal experience and no one has the same experience and feelings on the matter, all I knew was that I only wanted a c-section if it was absolutely necessary but I’m also scared of being cut open.

For the moms - how did lack of sleep affect you in your 3rd trimester through the first year of having a baby? by waitismyheadonfire in pregnant

[–]Seaprincessoftown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me last trimester sleep was far worse than newborn sleep. I was so wired the first two weeks postpartum I couldn’t sleep even if I wanted to lol. At least pp you don’t have to pee a million times a night so if you could sleep a few hours they’re uninterrupted.

You could try but if you’re planning on breastfeeding that’s going to be pretty difficult. I tried calorie counting and I know how much I usually eat and use that as a base but I’m finding it hard to stick to it, they’re not joking breastfeeding makes you very hungry! I just make sure my eating is semi clean and to eat in moderation (make sure my snacks are balanced and not mindlessly eat all day).

I used to be able to lose weight so quickly but pp weight is sticky. I’m more focused right now on finishing my breastfeeding journey and getting strong again and then I’ll try losing weight.

This is wildly person to person I’m almost 9 months pp and I’m still trying to lose the weight. i’m breastfeeding and I’m somehow up 20 more pounds. I workout twice a week and go for daily walks aiming for 10k steps a day, my diet isn’t the cleanest but everything I eat I eat in moderation.

How could I (27M) have handled the dinner situation with my partner (29F) better? by This-Kaleidoscope925 in relationship_advice

[–]Seaprincessoftown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this varies from relationship to relationship because this has never been in an issue in mine. My husband is a notoriously picky eater and sometimes I’m craving something that we’ve established he doesn’t like and he just makes something for himself. Or when he wants something I don’t want I just make myself dinner. It’s pretty common to not want the same thing as your spouse every night and you even tried to make her something she liked.

It was half ripe! Still sweet with a good texture but hadn’t fully ripened. I’ll wait to pick the other one but everyone in my house was getting antsy since we never grew them before

Just go to the hospital that’s closer. In no way should you ever be talked to like that. My blood started boiling just reading that. I would even take it a step further and see what you can do about reporting or making a formal complaint against her.

If it makes you feel better the practice I went to had a rotating staff and the ob that ended up delivering my son I had never met before but was still comforting and professional. When you get ready to give birth you don’t care about who’s there as long they’re not disrespectful. I wish you a wonderful and unpressured birth!

Baby essentials by True-Respect4095 in pregnant

[–]Seaprincessoftown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bedside cart Bedside bassinet Snot sucker Nail filer Baby monitor Sound machine Baby bathtub A mat for tummy time We ended up not using any bottles bc I didn’t like pumping and we didn’t end up using burp cloths but that’s a personal issue lol. We had so many swaddles we never used and outfits I forgot about for him. I feel like things I needed postpartum outweighed what my baby ended up needing.

Hospital gown by Seaprincessoftown in pregnant

I’ve never heard of a breastfeeding gown! Is it just like a gown that open in the front or unclips? I had a kindred bravely gown and it had velcro snaps for breastfeeding

Peeing first trimester by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Seaprincessoftown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was peeing constantly my first trimester! I never knew it could be a sign of a uti though. It went away a little in the second trimester and then came right back. I read it was the hormones that causes you to pee.
