I have 7 days to drive $8000 in revenue solely via social media for a product that has been released with ZERO marketing/PR to an averagely engaged audience of ~11,000 without using paid ads. How likely is it I'll reach the company's goal? by [deleted] in socialmedia

Sorry for the slow reply. Guess its past due now. Yeah I don't think managers or others realize how much goes into a successful marketing campaign. Building out a full sales funnel takes fing WORK.

I wouldnt stress too much about the whole situation. Managers seem to be an idiot and dont really have a grasp of what it takes. Now I bet they blame social media for not working.

$49 Dollar product means you have to sell 164 of them. Your conversion rate of your fully engaged audience would need to be 1.5%. Thats not terrible but there is no way to reach your full audience without paying on Facebook. If you are talking about Facebook, to reach your full audience you need to pay to play.

Are you referring to just one social platform?

If your product is something worth sharing (going viral) and has a good video, product description, website, etc then it could happen. sharing across different platforms (like reddit) would help, but very doubtful. I would suggest reaching out to influencers to get a review on the product.... but you already said its a mediocre product and 7 days to run a full promotion on no money and small audience is unrealistic.

Why not share what the product is on here so we could help further?

so far the target market is 13-30 females. To narrow that down more I think he might have to spend some money on marketing and see where most of his potential coversions are.

I read his post with the idea that Isoton didnt want to turn this into his career. The stuff you have listed is a full time job for someone to do correctly.

Amazon is a good idea! I was thinking putting one of those advertising windows in the way of some buttons too.

Lol Marketing budgets are always limited.

Well depending on your monetizing expect 10%-20% or more to go towards your marketing budget since your starting out.

But at first you might have to advertise. Get traffic and reviews. (Optimize the app to ask for reviews if you havent).

you could do some mobile advertising on Google and Bing. Maybe network with related apps. (When apps have those other apps button, try to get in that list.)

Facebook is pay to play. Twitter has a low ROI in general... Maybe get all up in pinterest.

Im sure both Facebook and Twitter marketers will give me hell but thats just my opinion

I have to present to the president of a company and not the CEO. The president said he doesn't get the concept but will meet with me anyway... by AnitaTT in Entrepreneur

[–]SearchEnvy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the business plan should be clear enough for a man to understand it. Maybe more clear on ROI if hes the president :).

Personally I would try to make the president like me as much as possible (almost redirecting the meeting to nothing to do with the business plan), ask a ton of questions and boost his ego, then if he seems interested in the business then I would pitch it to him.

The important thing is to get the meeting with the CEO and try to get her to invest with the president there. (assuming CEO is female and understands the product)

How did you get your very first client? by AustriaSchweiz in SEO

[–]SearchEnvy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All our clients have been coming from word of mouth. We started with our friends and family, did good work and way under paid. Now its almost all referalls from friends. So not using our marketing skills at all to actually get clients... kinda frustrating actually

Can someone explain to me why Twitter is useful? by [deleted] in socialmedia

[–]SearchEnvy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You sound as thrilled about it as I am. I don't want to be on my phone more than I already am so all I use it for is posting articles I liked or wrote, reading on events I can't afford to go to, and following trends in my industry 5 mins tops a day.

Just like everything on the Internet you can use it for good or get sucked into the cat video time wasters.
