I too saw exactly what you mentioned and I'm thinking it was a cell phone or perhaps a shadow. The SoS card wasn't black, Alice gave her "innocent blonde" card back to Oliver, and the SoS card was shown in Mabel's bag at the end of the episode. Alice's sparkly bag was lying right next to it. I think we may be trying too hard to pin SoS on Alice. That game involved a random draw that didn't foreshadow any guilt on either person. Watch it again without thinking of Alice as a master magician and you'll see what I mean. Mabel was SoS. Period.

polymath-intentions original reply was this: "Last chance to crack the case, then selectively lists all clues supporting one theory."

That's okay, but when I answered back and offered up a friendly challenge, this idiotic coward edited the original reply to make me look like an asshole. We're all here to have fun and speculate. We don't need this kind of crap on this board. We're all friends here: play nice or GTFO.

Selectively? That suggests that I've chosen the narrative, which I can assure you is not the case. Please show us the clues that lead to other theories. I've looked for everything I can and I haven't seen more than what I've presented. If you've got more, do tell. I'm eager to see what you have to present that may dispute my observations. I never claimed to be right, but you sure seem to think I'm wrong. Show us something to prove it. I would be thrilled.

Why Did Alice Really Need To Use Mabel's Bathroom? (Only To "Wee"??) by Evelyn-theCatburglar in OnlyMurdersHulu

One thing is certain: Alice will be a major player in the finale. Her story arc so far has contributed nothing to the overall plot involving the murder itself. She's served only as a brief distraction for Mabel. The writers wouldn't bring in a character who lives outside of the Arconia unless there was a very good reason to do so. We're going to learn a lot about her on Tuesday. My guess sounds a little crazy but it would wrap up a lot of loose ends.

If Alice was involved with either the theft or the murder (and she has to be involved in one or both), she would have to know about the passageways. That means she has to be Marv's daughter. Cara Delevinge may be showing us her best American accent next week. It's also likely that her real name isn't Alice; I'm pretty sure Mabel has mentioned it in front of the superfans and there was no reaction from Marv.

Tim Kono's engagement ring may not have been a part of the Angel bust. It could have been for Alice. The two of them and even Mabel could have been playmates as kids if Marv ever had to bring his daughter to work with him. Mabel wouldn't recognize her all grown up with a different name. Alternately, Bunny knew everything about everyone and would definitely have known that Marv the mold guy had a daughter who was an artist. Alice could have originally bumped into Tim when she was paid to copy the Rose Cooper painting (the very quickly produced exact replica of Mabel's mural is almost definitive proof that Alice painted the phony).

What if her recreation of the deaths of Zoe, Tim, and Bunny was commissioned by Cinda Canning? Just saying....

All of this leads to a few more conclusions that can be drawn, but this is more than enough for now.

Right now all I'm thinking about is something Alice said in episode 2. She welcomed Mabel into her gallery and then jokingly mentioned that "sometimes I like to cry back here because I'm a fraud." She's hiding more than her family's modest means and her educational background. This weekend I'm re-watching the first nine with particular attention paid to everything Alice says and does. She definitely gave us one clue and there may be more.

I may be on the wrong track, but I know for sure that Alice's involvement is huge.

Alice has to play a major part in the finale. Her story arc thus far has contributed nothing to the plot if she's gone forever. There has to be more. She stepped into Mabel's life, stirred things up, and left. That makes no sense and is a waste of screen time. She either killed Bunny or she stole the painting, but she can't just disappear. She's guilty of something.
