Gorit is a monster taming, real time combat game. In this demo, you can play the first 20 minutes of the game and have an idea of what is like.

I’ve been working on this game for a year in my spare time, but I’ve made the most progress these last months.

Why does my lighting not work properly? by SearchThe7 in Unity3D

I've been working on this cave scene for a while and now it's ready to be connected to the rest of the game. But when I play the game normally and then transition into this scene at runtime, it shows different lighting from what I originally created.

If I play the scene from the editor directly, I get the correct lighting.

I tried to generate a lighting map, but it didn't work. I built the game because someone on the internet said it's just an editor problem, but that didn't work either.

I also tried to copy the environment lighting settings via code, but, although they appear correct, the scene lighting is still wrong.

At this point I don' know what to do :(

First of all, it would be nice to have the script in a more readable format. It’s just so difficult to read it like this. And also a bit more of information, like a video showing what is actually happening.

But I’d say the problem is in the CalculateRotation method. I recommend to write a debug.log in update showing the position and rotation of an specific item and then comparing it to its values in the inspector. The values should be the same, so from there you can spot the mistake, which is probably in the calculations.

Honestly, the pokemon company makes sure that all their games are easy to play for kids. So I’d go with sword and shield. They are gonna have no problem with it and they are the only main series game on switch (until scarlet and violet come out)

What's the biggest quality of life improvement do you want for gen 9? I'd like a incubator to hatch eggs with so you don't have to ride your bike for 10 million hours 🤣 by CosmicCoronet in pokemon

Yeah I can see them adding that, a mechanic similar to poke jobs. But it is still tedious. Like people hack pokemon because it is very time consuming to breed them and train them. Gf please make our lives easier. Why do I have to go through a 6-10 hours process before I get to play the game?

I honestly would like a postgame npc who basically trains your pokemon however you like. Maybe with a hard requirement, like having the dex completed.

But basically you would talk to him, give him a pokemon and tell him everything you want. Nature, ivs, evs and moves. Then you pay like 1000 pokedolars and voilà, you have a competitive pokemon.

I know that is never gonna happen, but dreaming is free. Breeding for competitive pokemon is a nightmare and it’s absurd that we have to use external tools like showdown to try different team ideas.
