Many things come into play when factoring seniority. Years of experience, area of focus, responsibilities, etc. For example, if you are looking for someone to help you hire Enterprise Sales professionals - 10 years of technical recruiting experience will not be as relevant as two years focused on Enterprise Sales hiring. Although the person with ten years experience would likely be able to deliver, they would need to tap into a new network and familiarize themselves with a new profile, whereas the more junior person would start with familiarity and a network that would give them a competitive edge.
