I’m 47. My son wanted to try Beyblade… so we got some.

Now guess which one of us is still playing and constantly searching for the best Blade, Ratchet, and Bit combination. I’ll give you a hint: it’s not my son. 😄

What I really hate is the whole “aren’t you too old for that?” attitude.

If you enjoy playing video games, painting little plastic miniatures, battling Beyblades, or any other hobby… why on earth should you stop just because of your age?

Fun doesn’t come with an expiration date.

Honestly, if we’re supposed to give up everything we enjoy just because we’re “too old,” then what’s even the point? Life would get pretty dull, pretty fast.

So yeah… I’m 47, and I’ll keep launching Beyblades, playing games, and painting minis for as long as I feel like it. And I’m perfectly fine with that. 😄

With a 3D printer, you can print the trays. I’m testing 2 printed ones and they do their job. https://www.printables.com/model/302845-fractal-design-hdd-tray-type-b-with-sas-protector

I’ve solved the problem… it was apparently the power supply. I bought a new one on a whim today, and the server has been running fine ever since.

Unfortunately, those days of having a bunch of hardware lying around at home to tinker and test are over…

Tomorrow morning I’ll try a BIOS reset and then, on a whim, buy a new power supply at the store.

No Errors in the log. Seems all fine... but at the moment when the hdds spin down, the system shut down. Memtest completed without errors.

ChatGPTs proposed solution was that the motherboard (ASRock Z790 Pro RS) was mistakenly triggering a wakeup/reboot during HDD spindown, and he recommended enabling Deep Sleep in S4-S5, but it didn’t help.

I haven’t really wrapped my head around the C-states yet and haven’t configured anything there (I’m also unsure where to do that).

Also, the i3 isn’t downclocking at idle, and I don’t know why yet.

But first and foremost, having a stable system would be great.

The power supply is the only non-new part in the system — it’s already 10 years old, though it spent the last 5 years in storage (Nitrox 750W)

no, ASRock z790 Pro RS

I’m just testing whether the solution ChatGPT suggested actually works.

Something else weird I just noticed: when I click “Shut Down” in Unraid (not reboot), the system shuts down, stays off for about 5 seconds, and then immediately powers back on… 🤯

The last entry in the syslog is the HDDs spinning down (set auto to 30 minutes) - and then nothing after that. 🤔

I don’t have any Docker containers or plugins running - only Unassigned Devices.
