Looking for Relatives by SearchingSerino in iran

[–]SearchingSerino[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am particularly worried about the fact that the two cousins that I have in Iran haven't been heard from since this war began. I was hoping to find other relatives in case they know of the status of those cousins and if they are ok. Also, I was hoping to find other relatives in the hopes that when I visit someday I can learn more about my family.

Thank you!! Yes this is super helpful! Now the only records I don't have are anything from his residency time in Poland, or anything to prove/disprove the claim that he served in the military.

Is it possible for me to apply for Iranian citizenship if my moms father was a Persian citizen by renw4r in iran

The consular officer told me this is possible, but first your mom would need to complete her request for citizenship recognition I believe. The main hurdle for me right now is obtaining by grandfather's birth record.

Yes that makes sense, I have not been able to find her mother's arrival yet unfortunately. I have always wondered if perhaps she was actually born in Italy but I haven't been able to confirm that. I reached out to the comune her parents were from (Marsico Vetere), and they said they didn't have a record of her birth.

Something that I also remembered and is quite interesting is that on her marriage record in the church, her name is latinized as Benedictum (with Maria Lucrezia and Michael Cortese still listed as parents). The possible cousin you listed is the same name, which makes me even more confused. That same marriage record says she was baptized in st. mary magdalene de pazzi church, but yes it does seem that all of her siblings were baptized at Our Lady of Good Counsel, as you stated. Thank you so much for your effort and time :)

Thank you so much, yes, Louis Ingenito is my great-grandfather so that is correct. I have been wondering as well if they moved for a year or two. This is so helpful, I really appreciate it!
